Villa Onyx is a modern design-build set on two levels and featuring floor to ceiling windows that help incorporate the outdoors to the indoors of the home, making it an integral part of its décor. As the name of the villa states, Onyx, the colour palette of its interiors flows seamlessly around black, deep greys and white, all featured in the contemporary furnishings, its walls, and the unique art pieces masterfully poised around the house. If you are a photography lover, this is the house for you!

On the ground floor, the social areas ad a bit of colour to this Onyx paradise. In the living room, accent chairs shine bright among the subdued tones, and the sitting area/TV room is quite large and also takes advantage of sea views. Additional seating can be found in the main living area, so no lack of choice for a good chat with friends or family or to sit down and enjoy a good book accompanied by a glass of your favourite wine.

Alongside this sitting area, the dining room can comfortably host ten people, so, combined, they become the perfect spot for pre-dinner drinks followed by a lovely meal. There is even more seating space at the bar in the kitchen for an intimate family breakfast or for a good friend to keep you company while you cook for the group. The kitchen is cleverly designed with black panels that seamlessly hide appliances and accentuates the area beautifully.

If you would like to take your socializing or dining outdoors, just a few steps from the living space, you find yourself outside by the stunning swimming pool. There is a shallow end of the swimming pool with a table for wine or your preferred beverage or snack to be enjoyed while having a refreshing dip. Directly ahead is a modern entertainment pavilion with a TV, wine chiller and plenty of seating for guests.

The pavilion resembles an upscale outdoor bar and is cooled by ceiling fans and sea breezes. It provides the ideal spot to take a respite from the hot weather in Barbados. This description would not be complete if we did not mention Onyx villa’s direct access to a sinfully gorgeous white sand beach for early morning exercise or warm evening strolls.

A massive skylight above the foyer lets in natural light and leads you upstairs to the top floor of this home. The incomparable master bedroom boasts stunning views of the coastline, pool and poolside entertainment pavilion. Floor to ceiling windows ensures that you never miss a moment of sea views. The room is spacious enough to accommodate a furnished space for morning coffee.

A flat-screen TV is mounted and steps away, a sleek white bathtub is carefully positioned next to the full-length windows. It is the perfect spot to watch a Barbados sunset while enjoying a leisurely soak. It also comprises a separate shower, separate bathroom and endless closet space. Next to the master bedroom is an expansive suite outfitted with a king-sized bed. This room is also decorated in a tasteful style and looks onto gorgeous sea views.

There are two additional bedrooms on the first floor with en-suite bathrooms. They echo the same modern theme with black ceiling fans, white floors and bold accent tiling in the showers. An open-air workspace is situated on this level for those who just cannot stay away from work. The fifth full bedroom, and a powder room, are found on the ground level. Again, no lack of choice when the time comes for some restful sleep.
