Getting To Barbados
Getting to Barbados has never been easier.
Barbados is now served by more regional and international carriers than any other Caribbean island. Grantley Adams International Airport is located in the south east of the island of Barbados and is just 13 km (8 miles) from the capital of Bridgetown.
The scheduled carriers include Virgin Atlantic, British Airways, American Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways, Delta, Air France, West Jet, Air Canada, Caribbean Airlines, British West Indies Airlines, Air Transat, Liat and Jet Blue.
In addition there are also many charter airlines now flying to Barbados for example Condor, Thomas Cook.

VIP Fastrack At Grantley Adams Airport
Immigration at Grantley Adams can often be very busy and stressful especially in the afternoons.
We highly recommend you book the VIP Fast Track service.
Our pre arrival concierge will be delighted to assist you with this. It is a five star VIP Arrival assistance. Your hostess will meet you just inside the door of the immigration hall. You will be escorted to the very front of the immigration line where you will have a dedicated customs officer fast track you through the whole process.
Once you have collected your luggage you will again by pass at the lines at the customs area and escorted to your waiting transportation which we will also pre book for you. It is very likely that you will be in your villa taking your first dip in your pool or sip of your welcome rum punch before most of your fellow passengers have even left the airport.
About The Airport
Grantley Adams International Airport was completely upgraded in 2006. As well as having many international and transatlantic flights arriving and departing each day, it is also a major gateway to many of the smaller islands in the Eastern Caribbean.
One of the most interesting aspects of the airport is that is houses The Barbados Concorde Experience. If you arrive a bit early for your departing flight, it is really well worth a visit especially if you have an interest in aviation history. The Concord was the world’s first supersonic plane and cut flying time by half to many destinations. There are many interesting aspects to the exhibition including a section on Barbados aviation history.
Departing Barbados
On departure from Barbados, there is a departure tax which is applied to all passengers over 2 years of age. Most departing airlines include the tax in the cost of the ticket so it is mostly not of concern.
Duty Free Shopping
Grantley Adams has a really good selection of Duty Free shops. They offer everything from local crafts, jewellery, perfumes, alcohol, electronics, tobacco, clothing and shoes. There is even a Barbados Harley Davidson shop in case you have forgotten that all important present back home.
Executive Departure Lounge
You can relax in the Airlines Executive Lounge located in the Departure Hall which provides a very comfortable and spacious environment for you your family and friends. There is complimentary wifi as well as snacks, drinks and plenty of lounge space.
