Virgin Gorda Villa Rentals

The sublime Virgin Islands are comprised on a number of populated islands some under US stewardship and others part of the British Commonwealth.

Dotted between these islands are numerous sparsely or uninhabited islands that sit within easy reach of the main islands.  For anyone wanting to step into paradise look no further than the heavenly Virgin Gorda part of the renowned British Virgin Islands.  At 8.5 square miles it may seem like a snug option but consider the wealth of natural wonders contained within this small footprint.

As well, the many beautiful islands nearby extend the boundaries of adventures that await anyone who decides on any of the deluxe Virgin Gorda villa rentals.

Informal Luxury

If you like the idea of an exclusive and high-end vacation but without the formality, Virgin Gorda is for you.  Luxury yacht charters sail into the harbour, spacious and discrete private properties dot the coastline.  There are beaches of such castaway perfection that they truly defy description.  Let’s just say they are the marriage of turquoise waters, white sands against a backdrop of the pretty hinterland of the island.

The Baths

Most famous along the coastline are The Baths.  Naturally formed saltwater pools in beautiful coves, carved out of rock by the Caribbean.  These are safe places to swim and splash about enjoying the balmy temperatures and observing the movements of the sea beyond the naturally forming rugged barriers.

Devil's Bay

The rather inappropriately named Devil’s Bay is one of the best rated beaches in the Virgin Islands.  It involves a mini hike down a trail from the car park or better yet charter a boat that can anchor off-shore and simply swim in.  It’s a short walk from The Baths and worth the effort to enjoy the amazing snorkelling.

Pond Bay and Mahoe Bay are other stunning beaches.  With grottos and interesting coastal rock architecture, a day at the beach can be one of active exploration or lazy sunbathing.

Virgin Gorda Rentals

At Exceptional Villas we represent some of the most luxurious Virgin Gorda villas.  Choosing only the best properties in the loveliest of locations, we understand that clients want to really engage with the island.  How better to do this than from one of Virgin Gorda villa rentals like Sea Fans on Mahoe Bay Beach or the ultra-chic Cliff Penthouse overlooking Oil Nut Bay Resort.  Throw in some wonderful housekeeping staff and the stage is set for a care-free vacation for the whole group.

The compact nature of the island means that you are never far from a beautiful beach or cove, sea views are always a feature of any of our Virgin Gorda rentals – or in some cases, direct access onto a pristine beach.

Attractions

The lively Spanish Town otherwise known as the Valley, is a manageable drive away and has some cute shopping and restaurants.  Most of the activity of this town is centred on the Yacht Harbour, one of the most popular places for private yachts to weigh anchor away from some of the busier ports of the Caribbean.

If you are keen on fishing, the March Jamboree celebrates all things piscine and there’s a lot of activity and fun around the Harbour.

If you like to get out and about away from the water, the Gorda Peak has a number of trails that are worth exploring.  The view of the surrounding islands from the top of the Peak makes the effort truly worthwhile.

Relaxation

What makes Virgin Gorda one of the more popular destinations for the discerning is the deep sense of relaxation that awaits.  There seems like such a lot of space and time to just kick back and decompress.  The casual nature of life on the island means you can enjoy scrumptious lunches of the freshest sea food in barefooted simplicity.

It’s one of those islands that is elegant but understated.  All of the luxury associated with 5-star service and splendour is found in the wonderful Virgin Gorda vacation rentals but without the hype or unnecessary bling that seems to have crept in elsewhere.

The British Virgin islands are awash with history.  A lot of nations have left their footprint in the sands of time – Spanish, African, English, Dutch.  All of these strands are intertwined today and have settled into the fabric of the beautiful Virgin Gorda making it a diverse, colourful and interesting destination.

21st Century Robinson Crusoe

Virgin Gorda has retained everything that makes a Caribbean vacation special – natural beauty, serenity, a welcoming small local population and a vibe that is truly its own.  Why not become a 21st century Robinson Crusoe and explore Virgin Gorda and its surrounding coves and islands – experience the pleasure of being somewhere that remains so completely unspoiled.

Let Exceptional Villas introduce you to what will become your most favourite holiday ever.  It may be a small island, nestled in the vast blue expanse of Caribbean, but it is a mother nature’s masterpiece.
