Welcome to Torre Delle Cannelle, a 15th Century tower in beautiful Tuscany. Overlooking the Tuscan Archipelago, a small group of islands nestled between the beautiful Ligurian and Tyrrhenian Seas.
This historic sea-view Tower, built to repel the invading Saracens, has been modernized and is now a unique vacation property. With four bedrooms, this luxurious property can comfortably accommodate seven guests. Extensive gardens and 50 steps lead down the cliffside to the pebble beach 500m away.
This dramatic property is set over three levels; the originality and charm of the Tower have been sensitively adapted to bring light and space into this incredible home while maximizing the exquisite ocean views.
Ground Floor has a large living room with a fireplace. There's a pretty balcony with unimpeded views over the sea as well as a terrace with sweeping coastal views. Three double bedrooms and one single bedroom share three bathrooms – one with a bathtub. The bedrooms are distributed over the Ground Floor and Second Floor.
The First Floor has another living room with a sea-view terrace overlooking the Tuscan archipelago.
There are exquisite views from all rooms and terraces. Sun loungers on the terraces and lawns are wonderfully private. Nothing but the sound of the sea or the winsome cry of a sea bird to break your reverie.
Torre Delle Cannelle is in the heart of one of Italy's most unspoiled nature reserves; Maremma. Sweeping landscapes dotted with flowering shrubs and trees provide idyllic conditions for flora and fauna to flourish.
Intrepid travelers will adore the limitless hiking trails, rivers, and paths that beckon. Biking, kayaking, hiking, or lazy coastal strolls define each day. We suggest you pack a picnic of your favorite bread, cheese, and olives and find a shaded place to snooze away an afternoon.
Tore Delle Cannelle offers truly comfortable accommodations, cool spaces, and a self-contained atmosphere so attractive for anyone wanting to step away from the busy world.
Start each day with a sea swim and a sumptuous brunch on your terrace to set you up for a day of world-class sun lounging. For guests who long to express their creativity, you may just start that novel, sketch a masterpiece or capture an extraordinary photographic image; this landscape truly inspires.
For the less esoteric visitors, who've been bottled up in offices all year, you will want to break free and get out and about in the wilds of Maremma. Whatever the day holds for you, returning to your fortified castle walls each evening for a leisurely dinner under a star-filled Italian sky is indescribable. If your vacation coincides with a full moon, you will watch the vast sea spread out beneath your Tower transform into a sheet of silvery perfection.
The play of light on the terrain moves from misty dawns to bright afternoons to that twilight softness of dusk. Torre Delle Cannelle is that perfect destination property that allows everyone to find their personal definition of rejuvenation and self-expression.

Nearby, Grosseto is the largest town in the Maremma region and a useful place to pick up delicious provisions, wines, and pasta to prepare divine meals at the Tower.
A day trip to the island of Elba is worthwhile. It's a short hop by ferry from Piombino to Elba – about 40 minutes – and you can rely on Elba's excellent local public transport system to explore this unspoiled Italian island. In addition, there's a museum dedicated to its most famous past resident: Napoleon.
