As you wander along the narrow streets, absorbing the timeless atmosphere of this picturesque fishing village with a modern vibe, be sure to visit one of thirteen churches, all dating from the 15th to 18th century, all featuring numerous original frescos. Praiano is also home to the NaturArte Project, a free contemporary art installation of approximately 150 pieces along eight potential walking itineraries.

The rest of the coast offers plenty of other excursion possibilities. For those looking to absorb all the glitz and glamour of the Italian experience, escape the tourists with a boat trip to the island of Capri, off the coast of Naples. A firm favorite of global jet setters, you might well spot some famous faces strolling along scenic cobbled streets or sipping on a cocktail at one of the many chic beach clubs.

Only a short drive away from the villa is Positano, possibly the most dazzling jewel in the string of gems that is the Amalfi Coast. Known for its sophistication, this iconic town is a feat of engineering with its profusion of buildings stacked right into the cliffside, looking out over the sparkling waters below. One of the best things to do in Positano is, without a doubt indulging in all the incredible food on offer. Wander down the cascading steps to the water's edge, and you are sure to enjoy a romantic meal in any of the bustling restaurants.

A unique domed ceiling creates an airy atmosphere, further added to by large French doors that open directly onto the panoramic terrace, letting in streams of light, and offering a cool space to take a respite from the Mediterranean sun.
