Tuscany Villas

A vacation in any one of our divine Tuscany villas draws together all of the very best strands of Italian life and weave a magical voyage that delights all of the senses. The aged splendour of Florence, Siena and Lucca have art and architecture at which to marvel. The swathes of vineyards that carpet the gentle rolling hills around the UNESCO listed town of San Gimignano, Volterra and Montalcino create the picture-postcard imagery of the Italy of your dreams.

If you are nestled in one of the amazing Tuscany villas for rental that Exceptional Villa represent, you will enjoy breath-taking views across the countryside of Michelangelo and Dante, as you sip some of the delicious local wine and dip in and out of your private pool.

Villas in Tuscany

The very unchanged nature of the Italian countryside conjures up a land lost in time.  The fabulous villas in Tuscany that we offer are invariably spacious properties with a timeless appearance but complete with all the luxuries that make your Italian sojourn a completely relaxing experience.

The weather offers the ideal vacation conditions – warm, dry with very ambient evenings.  The excessive heat of high Summer that can sometimes make the cities of Tuscany a little oppressive, is perfectly offset by the cooler experience of a country hill-top Tuscan Villa, with a pool and extensive grounds.

Imagine waking each morning to the gentle hum of the bees busy among the vines and the cooing of pigeons at dawn.  With easy access to the shopping and antiquities of Florence, Siena or San Gimignano, you can enjoy the very best of both the rural and urban Tuscan experience.

From any one of these gorgeous and sophisticated villa bases, you can set out to discover the endless number of quaint towns and hill-top villages that glow golden in the warm Mediterranean sun.  Visits to vineyards are always a must with the accompanying wine tasting.

As well, take in the incredible museums and churches of Florence.  If you need to be inspired to travel to this lovely location, then pick up EM Forster’s Room with a View to understand why this part of Italy has been on the European tour of discerning travellers for generations.

The comedic appearance of the Leaning Tower of Pisa is worth seeing.  It’s incredible up close and with the adjacent cathedrals, is one of the top picks for a day trip.  A short journey north of Pisa and you are in Lucca where you can stroll around the Renaissance walls of this picturesque little city.

Siena

For something completely unique and well worth leaving the serene confines of your luxury Tuscany villas, I recommend a visit to Siena for the world-famous Il Palio di Siena – the horse race that takes place in the Piazza del Campo in the heart of this beautiful city.

With colourful flags adorning the main square of Siena, man and beast race at break-neck speed over the stone paved arena.  Even if your Tuscany vacation doesn’t correspond with either of the two race dates, a day strolling through Siena coupled with a lazy lunch or dinner is really worth putting on your itinerary.

San Gimignano

San Gimignano with its unfeasibly tall towers is a pretty medieval town, neatly contained within very imposing stone walls.  You enter through gigantic doorways and can navigate on foot the narrow cobblestone streets that weave through this lovely hill-top setting.

Try to visit the town for dinner as the tide of tourists will have ebbed away.  As you sit under a star-filled sky, dining on something as simple as a delicious traditional Tuscan dish of Panzanella – a chilled bread salad - coupled with a simple pasta dish with truffle oil accompanied by the local Vernaccia white wine or rich Chianti, life will seem just about perfect.

Touring

Hiking, biking and touring by car are a big feature in this corner of Italy.  From any of the Tuscany vacation rentals throughout this province, you can explore brilliant country trails just made for biking.  The many hills ensure a really good workout but with another world-class view around each bend, it’s inevitable that there will be many stops en route to hit refresh!

Coastline

Not always at the forefront of travellers’ thoughts is the fact that Tuscany enjoys a long coastline on its western side.  The Ligurian and Tyrrhenian Seas meet along the Tuscan coastline and there are some nice beaches to visit.  Unquestionably though, it’s the 360 degree views you will capture from your hillside Tuscany villa apartments that is what lures lucky guests to this heavenly destination each year.

At Exceptional Villas we have curated a very eclectic mix of amazing villas in Tuscany Italy for rent.

Our concierge team, with specific focus on Tuscany, can build for you and your family the most memorable of vacations.  Whether you are simply in Italy for the weather and wine, there are so many diverting elements to a holiday in this mesmerizing land that’s as old as time but with a heart that beats with youthful zeal!
