Welcome to Il Borgo, a rustic and luxurious villa located in the province of Pisa in Italy. This exceptionally beautiful home is the ideal place to enjoy a serene vacation in Tuscany. The home is situated on top of a hill, 115 metres above sea level allowing you to enjoy the beautiful views below. Il Borgo overlooks the magnificent scenery which surrounds the city of Volterra. Volterra is surrounded by olive groves and vineyards and has not lost the authentic aura typical of the whole of Tuscany. The village developed around the original tower and stronghold and one of the villas in the area is Villa Il Borgo. The town of Fabbrica di Peccioli where the home is situated is the ideal place to enjoy a charming Italian vacation.

The home dates back to the 18 hundreds and has been beautifully kept. It was reconstructed many years ago, maintaining the original architectural characteristics while also adding the fantastic modern amenities and comfortable furnishings you will need. Furnished with extremely good taste with antique period furniture and ornaments, the villa has a particular elegance, enriched by precious decorations, paintings, and the original vaulted ceilings.

ACCOMMODATION:
By means of a stone staircase, we go down to the garden, protected by an ancient wall for privacy, to the panoramic swimming pool (12x4 metres by 1.40 deep). This creates a beautiful and serene environment and allows you to take a dip in your swimming pool in peace. It has a hydromassage area, divans, and umbrellas.

The shops of Fabbrica are within walking distance. Spend afternoons exploring the shops and cafes in the town before returning to your private villa for an evening of dining and drinking under the stars while enjoying the beautiful Italian vistas.

Ground Floor:
The ground floor is home to a fully equipped kitchen. Here the chef in the group can enjoy creating many Italian dishes for guests to enjoy. Take advantage of the large, frescoed dining room and enjoy beautiful Italian cuisine with all your family and friends. The kitchen has access to the outside also. Step from the kitchen onto your outdoor terrace where you can soak in the warm sun and the beautiful panoramic views before you.

The living room in the home enjoys a wonderful fireplace. This creates a wonderful and cosy environment. There are many means of entertainment in the home and in the village that surrounds you. But if you wish to stay in and relax you can utilize the satellite TV and the DVD player.

On the ground floor, you will also find one of the rooms in the home. This room features twin beds which can be turned into a double bed upon request and a bathroom with a shower. All the rooms in the home are comfortable and beautifully designed. There is no better place to wake up than in Il Borgo.

First Floor:
The rest of the rooms in the home are located on the first floor. Move upstairs in the home where you will find two more double bedrooms and two twin-bedded rooms which can also be turned into double bedrooms upon request. There are also two more bathrooms upstairs, one of which includes a bath and a shower and the other which features a shower.

Coming back down to the ground floor, next to the kitchen and living room, we pass through two arched doorways and enter the garden, which has a stone floor and was originally the cloister. A large lodge has a dining table and chairs for “al fresco” dining, and divans under a pergola with a hundred-year-old wisteria. From here you can admire the vineyards and olive groves as far as the city of Volterra.

This small idyllic village enjoys all the necessities for daily life including a small grocery store, a fruit and vegetable shop a coffee bar and so much more. Spend your days exploring the village and the surrounding countryside before heading back to enjoy the town's best pizza. The Italian experience doesn’t get any better than this.

Fabbrica is in a good position for seeing the main sights of Tuscany. Within about an hour you can visit Pisa, Lucca, Voleterra, Livorno, San Gimignano, Florence, and Siena.
