Welcome to Gaillac, a beautiful 4-bedroom villa that perches above the horizon line and looks out onto an uninterrupted display of Anse des Cayes, on the island of St. Barth

The expansive wraparound deck is a firm favorite among guests, thanks to the ample seating for guests to enjoy; bordered by glass balustrades, it frames the swimming pool at the centre, the perfect remedy for beating the heat. Sip a cool glass of something sweet from the shade of the veranda or soak up the sun on the loungers nearby. The picture of Zen, the Gaiac tree, where the villa derives its name, has been accommodated by the terrace, a wooden bench set beneath it, allowing guests to take their ease and look out at the beautiful view in the shade of its leaves.

Designed to embrace indoor-outdoor living fully, Villa Gaillac opens out onto the wrap-around terrace at every opportunity; the open plan design benefits significantly from the great room are several entrances, allowing the refreshing breezes of the ocean to flow through and fill the villa with cool, fresh air. The great room, which features the lounge and kitchen under one roof, has a dining area that is annexed close by, beneath a canopy that embodies the al fresco dining experience while remaining beneath the blissful shade. The lounge contains a large L-shaped corner couch, widescreen mounted to the wall opposite, and the deep blue of the ocean beyond the patio doors – one of the best seats in the house to enjoy the view. The kitchen, fully equipped and ready to serve up delicious food, is sleek in design and efficient with space. The island at the centre doubles as a breakfast bar with seating for four, ideal for quick meals on the go.

The four bedrooms have been given the palatial treatment; luxurious king-size beds grace every room, as well as their own comfortably sized en-suite bathrooms for added privacy and comfort, and access to the terrace. Irresistibly soft sheets and the ambience of the ocean in the distance will help you drift off to sleep effortlessly.

The western side of St. Barth’s holds Gustavia, the capital of the island; a short drive from the villa, Gustavia hosts plenty of shops, bars and restaurants, to allow guests have their fill of retail therapy, experience the night life, sample the local cuisine, and for those with a keen interest in the past life of the island, explore some of the distinctive history of St. Barth’s - a good place to begin would be Gustavia itself, where the influences of past ruling countries still remain today; Fort Karl, a former military outpost, was left by the Swedish to protect the island in the 1700’s. The small size of the island also makes many of its finest features even more accessible; this makes it easy to explore it in a matter of a few days.
