Up to 8 lucky guests can slip off their shoes and embrace a vacation that’s all about rejuvenation, relaxation, and re-invigoration. The open and airy Xela is cleverly designed to maximize its phenomenal location on the edge of a perfect white sandy beach. Large glass walls/windows slide back to allow the gentle warm breezes to flow through the property.

The beautifully furnished, open-plan living room looks out on your private wrap-around, pool and terrace. With mature palm trees dotted here and there, you can sink into a reverie looking out across a quintessential Caribbean horizon of white sands and turquoise seas.

Xela is located on Virgin Gorda, that along with its surrounding islands, is home to some of the best sailing in the world. Watch for the pristine white sails that will lazily sweep across your vista as you revel in the paradise of Oil Nut Bay.

The four bedrooms distributed over three levels are spacious and all ensuite. The Master Bedroom is upstairs and has an indoor and outdoor shower as well as a bathtub. There’s a unique pull-out coffee bar in the master bathroom. In addition, there’s a beautifully furnished terrace with lovely sea views.

Guest Room 1 is on the middle floor. Another beautiful spacious bedroom that has a fabulous ensuite and furnished outdoor space. Guest Rooms 2 and 3 are on the lower level. Both attractive rooms are ensuite with attractive furnished outdoor spaces with divine outdoor showers.

There’s a media room with sumptuous seating, the perfect place to chill with a good movie.

The outside terrace has two swimming pools and a wet bar. For delicious home cooking, the kitchen was designed and installed by Ornare and featured Thermadore and Subzero appliances. For outdoor cooking, there’s a barbecue grill. With access to an outside shower powder room, the terrace has fabulous spaces for relaxation, dining, sitting in the sun or shade, or enjoying the peaceful Caribbean evening by your firepit.

Art lovers or guests who are fans of eclectic design will be thrilled to see original and custom-created artworks throughout Xela. A large mural painted on-site by John Paul Phillippe sits alongside the dazzling neon multimedia installation - Birds of Paradise – currently on loan from the Museum of Modern Art in Denmark. The furnishings are all high-quality and understated, creating a bespoke, luxurious, yet comfortable Caribbean getaway.

To explore the amenities and activities of Oil Nut Bay resort, guests exclusively use two golf carts.

The Marina Village offers lots of seafaring adventure activities. Swimming, snorkeling, diving, or fishing. There are several restaurants for you and your group to sample. Casual dining at the Beach Club or something more formal can be interspersed with barbecues on your terrace.

Oil Nut Bay has wonderful spa services and a kids club. If you like to get out for a bracing hike, there are 400 acres of trails through the unspoiled surrounding terrain, each offering amazing Caribbean and island views.

If you are new to the British Virgin Islands and eager to see more, you can take one of the ferry boats from Oil Nut Bay dock to nearby Tortola. However, if you are keen to go further afield, why not book a lunch in St Barth’s, which you can reach by helicopter.

Getting to Xela on Virgin Gorda can be achieved in several ways: North American guests can connect via St Thomas, San Juan, St Kitts, or St Maarten, connecting to Tortola's Terrance B Lettsome International Airport in the British Virgin Islands. There are flights from San Juan into Virgin Gorda and a seasonal service from St Thomas. Cape Air, Liat, Intercaribbean, and Seaborne Airlines are the most used airlines for flights into Tortola. Air Sunshine and Cape Air offer services to Virgin Gorda.

From Tortola, you can transfer to the Trellis Bay Ferry Dock to be ferried in 35 minutes to Oil Nut Bay.

European guests can connect via San Juan in Puerto Rico and then take a local airline to Virgin Gorda. A 20-minute taxi ride to Gun Creek Ferry and a ferry journey of 15 minutes to Oil Nut Bay.

Helicopter (8-seater) transfers can be arranged from Tortola Airport or San Juan's Luis Munoz Marin International Airport. The helicopter lands on Oil Nut Bay's helipad.
