Welcome to Villa Sa Terra Rotja, part of the Son Bunyola Estate owned by Sir Richard Branson. This stunning villa is located on the picturesque Spanish island of Mallorca. The villa sits on a 680-acre estate located on the island’s northwest coast. The estate can be rented exclusively and includes three villas, Sa Terra Rotja, Sa Punta de S’Aguila, and Son Balagueret.

Sa Terra Rotja is a luxury 4-bedroom Mediterranean-style villa featuring landscaped gardens and a private heated swimming pool. The views of the nearby mountains are picturesque and offer a wonderful relaxing retreat.

The villa’s name is translated from the local Mallorquín language meaning ‘red earth’. This four-bedroom villa is situated near the edge of the Estate and is just a 20-minute walk from a pebble beach nearby. The villa boasts wonderful views and outdoor spaces.

Sa Terra Rotja also has a private heated swimming pool (15 x 5.5 meters) and plenty of space on the terrace for sunbathing and for dining alfresco or entertaining. The terrace is one of the best features of the house offering guests space and privacy to relax by the pool and read or a book or to enjoy some time with family and friends dining alfresco with a BBQ.

The villa is beautifully furnished and features a fully equipped kitchen and a large living room with an outdoor dining area. It is a spacious home and perfect for a family vacation to Spain. There is also table tennis in the villa.

Sa Terra Rotja features four bedrooms that can comfortably sleep 8 adults. Each bedroom is en-suite and features heating and air conditioning. Some beds can be converted into twin beds on request.

Dining at Sa Terra Rotja
The rates include all drinks as well as a daily continental breakfast. Our local chef will prepare a selection of cold items so you can help yourself. Also included is lunch and dinner 6 days per week. Our gourmet chef will prepare the most delicious meals for you and will accommodate all requests and tastes.

Our chefs take full advantage of the local produce and they travel to the local markets every week to get the freshest vegetables and meats for you to enjoy during your stay. The menus have a huge influence on local produce: fish, lamb, meats, cheeses, fresh bread, pastries, and of course olives. All are served up with local Mallorcan wine or your favorite tipple. Your rate includes daily continental breakfast plus lunch and dinner for six nights of your stay. Our chefs and hostess will prepare a selection of cold dishes for breakfast before leaving each evening and you can help yourself in the morning, so there’s definitely no need to rush up! Lunch is served buffet style and three-course dinners can be tailor-made according to your preferences, or we can serve local Mallorcan and Mediterranean-style dishes. On one day during your stay, we can arrange for you to visit some of the local restaurant offerings and are happy to organize reservations. All drinks including alcoholic beverages are included and you are welcome to help yourself. Our team will chat to you before you arrive to make sure we have everything you need in stock.

Beach
The northwest Mallorcan coast is renowned for its pebbly beaches and coves. Son Bunyola Beach is a small pebble beach and is enjoyed by hikers walking the famous coastal track from Banyalbufar to Port des Canonge (the little fishing village just beyond the estate). From Sa Terra Rotja the beach is a short drive or 20-minute walk.

Walking
This location is ideal for exploring, hiking and walking around the stunning Mallorcan mountainous landscape. The estate itself offers a nice area to walk around which is 3km x 5km in size, or enjoy the nice coastal walk which starts from the pebble beach. If you would like to walk to the nearby village Banyalbufar this will take you approximately an hour walk along the beachfront.

Tennis
Sir Richard Branson loves to play tennis and he has ensured there is an endless supply of tennis available to guests. The villa has its own tennis court which is adjacent to the property, racquets and balls are provided. The tennis court is shared by Sa Terra Rotja and Sa Punta de S’Aguila and is a 10-minute drive from Sa Punta de S’Aguila. Our concierge can also arrange a tennis coach on request.

SPA
If you would like a spa treatment during your stay please ask a member of the team who will be happy to provide a spa treatment list. Spa treatments are subject to availability and are available for an additional charge.

Families
The villa and estate are ideal for a family vacation to Mallorca. Children are very welcome to stay at the property and some rooms are able to accommodate children on sofa beds. The estate features a children’s games plus a TV and DVD player for extra entertainment. Babysitting can be also be arranged on request. We can also accommodate children’s meals and requests.
