Beaches In The Cayman Islands

The Cayman Islands are renowned for its stunning white sandy beaches and turquoise, calm waters perfect for swimming, snorkelling and above all scuba diving. Every beach in the Cayman Island is public.

Rum Beach

If a quiet retreat off the beaten path is what you’re looking for Grand Cayman’s Rum Pointe is the place for you. Located on the North side of the island its natural beauty, white sandy beaches and clear waters are a popular hang-out for locals looking to unwind. For travellers it’s a relatively untouched oasis with plenty of hammocks and lounges to relax in and soak up the sun or chill in the shade. This beautiful public beach is a 40 minute car drive from George Town. Often time’s visitors opt for the boat ride over to catch a view of the beach from the water.

Cemetery Beach

Just to the north of Seven Mile Beach you will find a lovely little beach called Cemetery Beach. The beach is a great spot for snorkeling in the reef just off shore. Cemetery Beach is a favourite for those who love to play and feed some very friendly local fish and marine life.

Smith Cove Public Beach

Located between Coconut Harbour and Cayman Coves, on the west side of George Town you will find Smith Cove Beach. Contrasting completely with the glitz of Seven Mile Beach, this attractive sandy strip is small but well worth the visit. It's a good spot for snorkeling and a nice venue for a picnic beneath the shade.

Seven Mile Beach

The most famous of all the beaches in the Cayman Islands is 7 mile beach located on Grand Cayman.

The beach offers 7 miles of the purest and softest white sand with the wonderful calm azure sea beyond. Seven Mile Beach offers visitors an abundance of water sports activities from para-sailing to jet-skiing.

Along the beach you will find some of the best resorts in the Caribbean as well as a wonderful selection of restaurants and beach bars.

7 Mile Beach

Cayman Kai

Located on the north tip of Grand Cayman you will find a popular beach called Cayman Kai Beach. Cayman Kai has huts and hammocks perfect for relaxing in and for the more active visitor, you will always find beach volleyball on the beach. Cayman Kai beach has a lovely beach bar and grill.

West Bay Beach

Located at the North end of Seven Mile Beach, Grand Cayman's West Bay Public Beach is a great location for people watching and soaking up the rays. Complete with changing and bathroom facilities this beach is also close to restaurants and great BBQ cooked right on the beach.

East End Beach

East End Beach is an ideal secluded beach perfect for a romantic afternoon or a spectacular sunrise. This Grand Cayman beach plays host to many birthday parties and events during the weekend making it a good place to meet residents.


Beaches in Little Cayman

Little Cayman Beach Resort

Located near the airport on the south side of Little Cayman this beach has something for everyone. The beach comes with some wonderful hammocks under cabanas available if you want to be near the ocean and out of the sun. Head O Bay

Head O Bay offers stunning views and is the perfect beach to go to relax. Head O Bay is located on the South Shore along the beautiful South Hole Sound, in Little Cayman. Surrounded by shallow lagoons, those on a diving vacation will have plenty to explore including the Jackson Walls and the marine life of Bloody Bay.

Southern Cross Club

Southern Cross Club beach offers the perfect oasis from a busy day of diving. Rent a sea kayak and paddle over to Owen Island. Catch some sun on the glistening white sand or take a leisurely walk along the coastline. Enjoy 900 feet of white sand beach front complete with hammocks and our trademark sparkling blue water. Situated along the South Hole Sound the flats provide great fishing, swimming and snorkelling.

Point O' Sand

This picturesque beach is a secluded, powdery white sandy beach. The depth of the water stays ankle deep for just over 15 feet then gradually drops off making it an ideal beach for basking in the sun while staying cool. This is an idyllic location for your daily swim after a rough day diving along Bloody Bay Wall.
