Sielen Diva Villa

Sielen Diva is a beautiful seven-bedroom beachfront Sri Lanka Villa sleeping up to 14 people. The home features a private swimming pool and all the amenities of a luxury boutique hotel. Sielen Diva Villa has one of the best locations on the south-west coast of Sri Lanka on Mihirpena Beach. The Villa is in the village of Talpe and close to the town of Galle. Mihirpena beach is a virtually private beach. Directly in front of Sielendiva is a picturesque outcrop of rock which adds to the wild natural beauty of the area. There is a small rock pool where it is possible to cool down, and a short 100-meter walk brings you to a spot suitable for swimming. A further kilometer along the beach is a beautiful and perfectly calm swimming area which is protected by a reef. Here the waters are crystal clear and aquamarine.

Each of the seven bedrooms is incredibly spacious with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the ocean. They are more or less equal in size and standard making Sielen Diva Villa an ideal choice for a corporate retreat or a group of adults wishing to have a serene and peaceful tropical paradise getaway. Beautifully decorated contemporary guest rooms are offset with unique pieces of art. The en-suite bathrooms are both luxurious and spacious. The owners have lovingly collected each of the art pieces. As a tribute to the beautiful wildlife in Sri Lanka, each room is uniquely named after Sri Lankan animals.

The main living area has its location in the centre of the Villa. It is open on both sides with breathtaking sea views on one side and tropical garden views on the other. This open-sided living area allows a cooling breeze to circulate throughout the room, negating the need for air-conditioning. Folding glass doors are available should you wish to have a break from the elements. There are several different sitting areas in the Villa, so guests can enjoy space to read a book, play board games, relax over a cocktail or chat with friends and loved ones.

Exquisite art pieces complement comfortable sofas and chairs in bright tropical colours of blues and greens. The villas seventeen-foot-long 14 seater dining table has its location in the living area. It is a lovely piece of furniture crafted from one single piece of wood.

Sielen Diva has a wonderfully equipped games room called Baba's Den. Baba is the name of the owner’s youngest daughter. Equipment includes a foosball table, pool table, darts board, poker set, television, DVD player and a book library. There is a badminton net located outside the games room for matches on the grass.

The living room leads directly onto the sun and pool deck. A sleek 17-meter pool blends wonderfully well with the contemporary design of Villa Sielen Diva. Colourful sun loungers surround the pool. The pool is perfect for an energetic swim or a languid float. Additional casual alfresco outdoor dining areas flank either side of the pool. These are perfect for enjoying drinks or snacks during the day. The view from the pool deck is breathtaking. Guests love to spend time here enjoying breakfasts, long lunches and dinner while watching the sea lap on the beach and the fishermen on stilts.

One level below the pool deck is the location for the vast lawn which rolls down to the beach. The grounds are extensive with plenty of private spots for guests to enjoy the Sri Lankan sunshine. The front lawn is large enough for a quiet stroll, a friendly game of football or some touch rugby. Also, there is a 1000 square foot rooftop terrace with additional seating and sunbathing spots. The rooftop terrace is a beautiful place to enjoy a Sri Lankan sunset while enjoying a refreshing cocktail or glass of champagne. The lower garden area has direct access to the beach.

Before arrival, every guest receives a preference form so that the team can customize menus to individual tastes and special diets. The chef is very versatile and can create authentic Sri Lankan cuisine as well as international dishes. No matter the origin of the cuisine, the food is always prepared with the best and freshest local produce, fish caught in the local seas and herbs picked from the garden. Barbeques overlooking the ocean are one of the Villa's highlights.

Most of the team at Sielen Diva originate from the local town of Galle, and they are all Sri Lankan. LOCATION
Sielen Diva has a beautiful, peaceful beachfront location in the quiet village of Talpe and close to the pretty town of Galle. This luxury Sri-Lanka Villa is about a two and a half-hour drive from Bandaranaike International Airport and the countries Capital city of Colombo. The quickest way to reach Sielen Diva Villa is by Air Taxi between Colombo and the Koggala Lake, which has its location 25 minutes away.

Sielen Diva is also located directly beside The Cloisters Villa. The two villas may be rented together for larger groups. The location of Sielen Diva is one of the most popular in Sri Lanka. There is much to do and see in the vicinity. One of the most popular attractions is the UNESCO Heritage Galle Fort. Founded in the 16th Century, the Fort was founded by the Portuguese who occupied it until the arrival of the British in the 18th Century. The Fort is the best example of a fortified city in South East Asia. It demonstrates a beautiful synergy between European architectural styles and South Asian Traditions.

The town of Galle is pretty with narrow winding streets and shops full of excellent restaurants, art, clothing and jewellery. Also, there is a superb selection of restaurants close to the Villa, such as the well-known Owl and The Pussycat, which has its location next door. A short stroll brings you to plenty of local restaurants serving delicious homemade Sri Lanka curries and locally caught fish.

Watersports lovers will be delighted with the selection available at Unawatuna Beach just 2.9 kilometers and Mirissa Beach (25 kilometers) from Sielen Diva. The variety includes sailing, surfing, fishing, coastal cruises, river trips, sea kayaking, snorkelling and boating.
