Each day, guests can gather for a beautiful alfresco breakfast prepared and served by Mariposa's professional staff. A sea swim or dip in the pool can set the tone for a day of splendid relaxation. Active guests longing for competitive action can hit the courts (tennis and basketball) for a fun workout. The wonderful croquet lawn is only a short stroll from the pool terrace, perfect for a more sedate game.

The tennis court has a pavilion providing a shaded space for the players' fans to relax with a cool beverage and watch the daily grand slams. Golf enthusiasts will enjoy sharpening their putting skills on the 9-hole putting course. So much to do!

The wide blue ocean is like a magnet for guests. A private beach is perfect for swimming. If you book a speed boat as an add-on for your Antiguan getaway, you can weigh anchor off your private dock and tour Jumby Bay island by water. There are wonderful off-shore reef systems, too, perfect for snorkeling.

Mariposa's nine bedrooms are distributed across the property, with some rooms nicely grouped to allow parents and younger guests to sleep near one another and, conversely, self-contained spaces to give couples an added sense of privacy. The main living room/dining room bungalow is connected to each of the sleeping quarters by paved paths that weave through the lush, manicured gardens.

The main living and dining spaces have unimpeded views over the pool to the sea. There is a lovely firepit and terrace adjacent to the dining room. A great place to gather for memorable and celebratory dinners each evening.

The beach club's Pool Grille Bar has wonderful service and photo-worthy views across the Island's sand spit.

The Island produces most of its organic fruit and vegetables. Visit The Farm to see how Jumby Bay promotes a sustainable and healthy plan. The Farm is also the place to sign up for cookery lessons, a great way to update your culinary skills and add a luscious Caribbean recipe to your repertoire.

For a more grown-up experience, 1830 is a stylish destination bar in the elegant plantation house. Dark woods and rattan interiors call to mind an old-world charm and create a cozy and romantic setting for guests.
