Unique Stay!
I stayed in Windmill Villa on my last trip to Santorini and really enjoyed it. The villa is in a brilliant location and guests can walk to Oia within minutes. There is a great café called Passaggio located at the beginning of the pedestrian street and a shop is also around the corner from the villa. The breakfast was delicious and the housekeeper was very helpful. Please note that the staircase leading to the bedroom is quite steep so care must be taken.

Windmill Villa was used about 200 years ago to produce bread to be distributed throughout the entire island and it has been magnificently renovated to offer guests a serene and tranquil stay.
Windmill Villa is perfect for a romantic getaway! Oia in Santorini has long been renowned for its exceptionally dreamy and charming allure so Windmill Villa would be a glorious choice for a honeymoon.
Windmill Villa is situated close to the entrance of Oia village and is perfectly positioned to take a stroll to Oia and browse the pretty boutiques, colourful jewellery markets, local tavernas and restaurants.
This superb villa is split between two levels and expands over 45 metres squared. On entering the villa, you are greeted with a welcoming space featuring a compact and fully equipped kitchenette and seating area. The villa’s bathroom is just beyond this room and has a rainfall shower, fluffy towels, bathrobes and luxury bathroom amenities.
An interior winding staircase leads to the bedroom upstairs with a comfortable double bed, closet and view to Oia and the azure Aegean Sea. These steps are steep so care must be taken.
A cave-style Jacuzzi and sun loungers feature on the private villa.
A nutritious breakfast is served fresh each morning to your villa and is sure to set you up for an exciting day of exploring the wonderful island of Santorini.

Area description
Santorini is an island that needs no introductions. On the top ten “most desired” destinations worldwide for the past ten years, almost everyone wishes to visit the island for at least one time in their lives. The only habitable caldera in the world and a famous destination for weddings, honeymoons and lovers of unique views it attracts visitors literally from all parts of the world.
Not only is Santorini one of the most beautiful islands in the world, it is also geologically and archaeologically one of the most dramatic. The island, which is also called Thira, is shaped like an enormous pair of jaws encircling a lake filled with pure blue water. This is the core of an ancient volcano, which according to legend destroyed the lost continent of Atlantis when it blew its top about 3,600 years ago, burying the ancient city of Akrotiri (now being excavated) under tons of ash and sending out tidal waves that inundated other landmasses.
The island's two towns, Fira and Ia, are perched on the cliff tops of the highest part of the island. Ferries arrive and depart in the harbour below, and visitors walk or ride donkeys up the steep winding path to the towns. The towns are equipped with hotels, good restaurants, bars and plenty of nightlife to keep visitors happy while you relax between visiting the archaeological remains of ancient Thera, dating back to the 9th century BC, on the east side of the island. Other attractions include the excavations at Akrotiri, an archaeological museum and an 18th-century monastery. Santorini has two swimming beaches, Perissa and Kamari, both characterised by their volcanic black sand.
