The island is compact, yet there’s so much to see and do. A visit to Mykonos town is always a winner. Narrow, cobbled streets filled with little boutiques and cafes are a joy to explore. Stopping for a delicious lunch or refreshing drink at one of the waterfront cafes is memorable. Little Venice, the unusually colored fishermen’s houses built over the water, are an insta image waiting to happen.

The beaches around the island are both sandy or smooth pebble. The pebble beaches are incredibly comfortable, as you don’t have to spend an age trying to get sand out of your life!

The waters around Mykonos are famously crystal clear. Turquoise, calm and temperate, you will love snorkeling or diving beneath the surface. A boat tour to nearby Delos is recommended if you are partial to some mythology. Follow in the footsteps of the gods and wander through temple ruins. The view of Mykonos by boat as you return from this trip is an added bonus.
