Welcome to Villa 1870 Corfu, a beautiful mansion that was built in the 18th Century and which is spread across three floors. This spacious residence can comfortably accommodate 10 guests in 5 bedrooms and is ideal for a large party of family and friends.

Designed by an English architect with a distinctly European style, it is surrounded by luscious rich vegetation. Villa 1870 Corfu was refurbished in 2018 by introducing modern technology allowing guests to enjoy modern-day amenities whilst holidaying in this timeless residence. The history and original architecture of this stunning building have been preserved as seen in the architectural elements of the characteristic walled arches, Venetian blinds, arched windows, the ornate interior wooden staircase and the robust and genuine 19th Century front door.

Villa 1870 Corfu is located very close to the island’s capital, Corfu Town, the cultural and economic focal point of the island.

The interior furnishings, fittings and décor are of a Romantic style, giving guests a glimpse into a past era. Every room boasts a view of the crystal blue Ionian Sea, adding a touch of Greek serenity to the villa’s timeless elegance.

Next to the main house is a second building where the villa’s on-site Executive Chef is at the guest’s disposal to prepare meals.

The ground floor of Villa 1870 hosts the living room and fully-equipped kitchen. The antique furniture creates a unique atmosphere, including a dining table for 10 guests based under an imposing mirror, a replica of the grand mirror at Althorp Castle. A welcoming fireplace provides warmth and comfort at cooler times of the year and adds a homely feel to this mansion. The living room also includes a 50’’ television.

The interior staircase leads to the bedrooms and bathrooms on the two upper floors.

The first floor has two connecting bedrooms, ideal for a family with young children. One bedroom contains a double bed and the other bedroom has twin beds. There are also two bathrooms on this floor, both with an unprecedented monochrome luxury finish. One of the bathrooms has a shower and the other is larger with a shower, bathtub and a double washbasin.

The second-floor hosts three bedrooms. The Master bedroom has its own private en-suite with a shower and double washbasin. There is also a bedroom with a double bed and another with twin beds, sharing a bathroom with a shower.
Each bedroom oozes its own distinct personality with the furnishings and fittings and the bright-coloured walls give for a fun and enjoyable stay. All of the bedrooms also feature windows, boasting wonderful light and amazing Ionian Sea views.

The gardens of Villa 1870 are spread across 2 acres and host a variety of luscious trees, flowers and rare plants, creating a sensuous and peaceful environment that preserves the welcome privacy of the villa and the swimming pool without blocking the panoramic views of the Ionian Sea. The vast gardens offer guests the opportunity for both relaxation and activity.

The heated swimming pool encourages guests to swim all year round and features a water system, making it ideal for exercise. A selection of sunbeds and chairs surround the pool, providing a comfortable setting to relax while children play in the shallow end of the pool.

A BBQ is close to the pool, offering the perfect atmosphere to entertain and be entertained on sunny days and warm evenings. Dining al fresco is a must with a table for 10 guests and two large marble buffet benches, ideal for enjoying a traditional Greek breakfast of local produce while sheltering from the mid-morning sun.

Villa 1870 Corfu gladly welcomes younger guests and offers an array of amenities including Netflix, DVD player, PlayStation 4 and XBOX ONE. All of these technological amenities are coupled with a large garden, a playground and a shallow end in the swimming pool allowing younger guests to explore all Villa 1870 has to offer.
