Come and soak up the Italian sun in style at Villa Turchese, a modern, spacious seaside villa that can host up to eighteen guests within its nine luxurious bedrooms. Designed and built-in 1976 by the famous architect, Luigi Caccia Dominioni of Milan, this one-level villa expands over 6,900 square feet of the marvellous Capo Coda Cavallo estate, situated on the north-east of Sardinia.

The villa’s location is also part of the Tavolara marine-protected zone, ensuring the waters close by are pristine. The bay surrounding the villa’s location creates a natural harbour that both shelters the villa, providing placid waters for swimming and bathing, but with enough depth to accommodate sizeable yachts.

As you enter the main hall, a stunning patio is immediately visible. Painted black to absorb as much heat and light as possible, and clad with an arrangement of wood and stone, the patio contains both a plush double daybed and a gorgeous water feature that draws the eye towards the rear of the villa to the gardens, where the Mediterranean beckons.

Emerging from the patio, an abundance of outdoor seating is available; sun loungers are numerous and line the large pool, and some are shaded by parasols in the sand at the beach, making it easy to bathe in the suns’ rays. The villa’s covered terrace is replete with chairs and couches to sink into, an ideal spot to enjoy a morning coffee. A shaded terrace with loungers sits overlooking the rugged beauty of the bay area, and a shaded dining area surrounded by the grandeur of the garden which, when lit with candles and dressed for an occasion, becomes a perfectly intimate setting for dinner.

The interior is contemporary in design; bold and fun, the reds and blues of the stylish furniture accent the warm beige walls of the living spaces, the wooden floors a natural choice to enhance the size of the rooms. The living room provides ample seating options; the numerous couches and armchairs provide comfort and relaxation without cluttering the room, and surrounded by bookshelves aplenty in the study, your only burden will be to find the best place to curl up with a book. Seating eight, the dining room, in contrast, flips the colour palette; the blue walls, combined with the sleek black-tiled floor provide a calm, amiable place for easy conversation at mealtimes.

Lofty, well-lit and practical in its proportions, the kitchen is well equipped with modern appliances, as well as a professional chef on hand to plan and prepare delicious food. Whether it be candlelit dinner in the elegant dining room or discovering the true meaning of “al fresco” to the ambience of the Mediterranean Sea, Italian cuisine is second to none. A centre island with seating is perfect for preparing food, enjoying breakfast, or grabbing a quick coffee before heading out for a day at the beach, or a trip to one of the many picturesque villages that dot the coastline.

All nine bedrooms come equipped with air-conditioning and ceiling fans, with furniture and décor with one goal in mind; to help you unwind. Cool colours like green and blue are utilized in the upholstery to instil relaxation in guests as they prepare for sleep, reminiscent of the villa surroundings. As the villa is a mere 50 meters from the beach, the only sounds you can expect to hear as you enter slumber is the gentle hush of the sea in the bay.

The main villa holds eight bedrooms, and a cottage adjacent to the main building holds the ninth. Five double bedrooms are en-suite, each containing a bathtub to soak into, and four bedrooms sharing two bathrooms, one equipped with a bathtub and both with separate showers. A large sauna is located next to the master bedroom, accessible to all guests of the villa.
