From a secluded Lurin hilltop high above the picturesque harbour of Gustavia, you will enjoy an unparalleled vista of the blue Caribbean Sea with Statia, Saba, and St. Maarten in the distance, and of course St. Barth’s spectacular sunsets.

This hillside villa is set above the iconic harbour of Gustavia and is within close proximity to Gustavia’s chic shops and restaurants. Gustavia is one of the prettiest harbour towns in the Caribbean. Its steep bay walls tumble to a rectangular waterfront with attractive red-roofed buildings overlooking the harbour from three sides. There is a lovely boardwalk around much of the waterfront. Here you will find lots of small boats and tenders moored at the restaurants and bars which gives it a lovely atmosphere. In the winter season, Gustavia is one of the most fashionable places in the world with many luxury yachts moored shoulder to shoulder.


Onshore the streets are steep and narrow and full of character. There is often a lively buzz around many of the bars and restaurants, particularly along the boardwalk. The streets are lined with serious fashion names such as Louis Vuitton and Hermes as well as some beautiful boutiques and designers that are unique to St Barths.

Both Shell Beach and Gouverneur Beach are less than a 5-minute drive away from Villa Ti Moun. Gouverneur Beach is really lovely and largely unspoiled. It has a superb stretch of sand surrounded by high cliffs. It offers good swimming and snorkelling by the rocks. It also offers a wonderful view of Nevis and St Kitts. The only way to get to Gouverneur is by a steep narrow road so the beach is almost always quiet and well worth the short drive.

Shell beach is a short walk from the capital Gustavia, and the scene of many weekend festivities. You can take a dip in the wonderfully calm waters after a day’s shopping in the town. Restaurant Do Brazil is located on the beach. There is a lovely view of the islands of Statia and Saba. It is a good place to go when the other beaches are a bit too windy as it is almost always tranquil and calm enough for swimming and sunbathing.

The villa itself reflects a keen understanding of design with a holiday lifestyle in mind. The main living area opens out onto a two-tiered hardwood terrace, an inviting and refreshing pool, sheltered outdoor dining, and chaises for relaxing in the sun. The kitchen is open and convenient, so mealtimes can be social even before you sit at the table, with plentiful counter space integrated with barstool-style seating for guests. A Bosch pro-quality range in the kitchen and a Weber gas grill on the terrace means that no recipe is out of the question.

The living room offers comfortable seating for six on plush, white sofas, a full HDTV system with U.S. and French satellite, DVD, and Bose sound with an iPod dock. A decor of fine art photos, a vertical wall garden, seashells and the occasional splash of bright colour lends this living space a calm and inviting ambience. In the evening, with the lights of the harbour below and the stars above, the atmosphere is simply magic.

Villa Ti Moun two master bedrooms are situated on either side of the main living area, providing privacy while still enjoying the fabulous views and easy access to the terrace and pool. Each bedroom has its own en-suite bath, decorated with travertine tiles and fitted with quality fixtures and rain-head showers. A third bedroom one level down from the terrace offers greater seclusion, with its own small terrace with outdoor seating and views of the harbour and the surrounding garden of jasmine and flamboyant.
