Welcome to Royal Villa 8, a luxury 3-bedroom villa within the estate of the renowned Royal Westmoreland, on the island of Barbados.

Sporting spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea, and the verdant green of the tropical landscape surrounding it, Royal Villa 8 is a semi-detached three-bedroom villa, each bedroom equipped with private en-suite. Borrowing architecture from the island’s rich and colourful past, the colonial-styled villa is host to many typical features of both Georgian and Victorian architecture, including symmetrical exteriors, lofty ceilings, and ornate rounded glass archways overhead the doors to name a few, while using the natural resources of the island to construct it. This, combined with more modern design of today’s leading architects, helps to keep Barbados’ heritage alive, whilst providing wondrous villas for guests to relax in and enjoy, for the duration of their stay.

Stepping inside, the cavernous space of the rooms is augmented by the lofty ceilings, with an open plan living space and dining area. A fully equipped kitchen will cater to your every need, with ample seating at the breakfast bar and dining table for either a quick snack or a full meal. Numerous windows and a grand Victorian-esque doorway provide glorious evening sunset views, and access to the outdoor dining area and garden, with the Caribbean Sea glittering on the horizon. The lounge area is furnished with plush sofas that are tastefully arranged, facing each other around the coffee table to allow conversation to flow freely. A flat screen television is ideally placed on the wall, and guests can settle down from activities and adventures and take a breather.

There are three luxury bedrooms at Royal Villa 8. The bedrooms are lavishly designed, and in keeping with the design of the rest of the villa, also feature high ceilings. Furnished with rest and relaxation in mind, each bedroom features luxurious and beautifully finished wooden bedheads, an array of options to store clothing and belongings, and ceiling fans and air-conditioning to ensure the rooms remain pleasant and cool in Barbados’s heady climate. The master bedroom contains a luxurious king-size bed and is equipped with a shower and bathtub as part of its en-suite – perfect for sinking into after a long day of soaking up the sun and seeing the sights. It also features direct access to the outer lounge area and garden, complete with partially shaded terrace. The second bedroom, hosting a queen-sized bed and en-suite, is situated on the upper level of the villa, and affords scenic Caribbean Sea views. The third bedroom, on the same level as the master bedroom, is fitted with comfortable twin beds, with private en-suite bathroom and shower - also with direct access to the terrace and garden. The second and third bedrooms both have walk-in closets, with more than adequate storage for guests’ belongings.

LOCATION DETAILS

Located on the western end of the island in the parish of St. James, Royal Westmoreland Villas is ideally placed for the pinnacle of privacy and security, while allowing guests easy access to all Barbados has to offer. Holetown is the closest area to the villa for retail therapy, with a plethora of shops, restaurants, boutiques, spas and much more, just a quick 5-minute drive away (8km). The Royal Westmoreland Pool and Clubhouse are mere minutes away on foot, and a shuttle bus service to Mullins Bay available (4.2km). A multitude of golf courses are also within easy reach. Thanks to the unique land formation of Barbados, there’s plenty of natural wonders on display, like Harrison’s Cave, an underground limestone cavern, or Barbados Wildlife Reserve, which allows visitors to stroll through the land natural habitat of indigenous creatures.

Further afield and steeped in history, Bridgetown is the seat of government on the island, and is populated by buildings from the era of British Colonialism.
