Welcome to Villa Roncovisi, a centuries-old 7-bedroom villa, fully restored to its former glory, lying in the deep Tuscan heartland of Italy.

Rugged landscapes, sprawling forest, and azure skies set the scenic backdrop for this grand Italian escape, beautiful stonework on all sides capped by classic terracotta tiles, a traditional feature of Tuscan architecture. Mature, well-tended gardens with beautiful plants populate the garden of Roncovisi, interspersed with stepping stone paths that meander through the lawns, and guide guests through the pleasant aromas of the flowerbeds that fill the air. Throughout the expansive acreage that surrounds Villa Roncovisi, outdoor living is both provided for and very much encouraged; numerous outdoor lounges are to be found around the villa – beneath the leafy pergola, a beautiful dining table provides an authentic al fresco experience, overlooking the rolling hills and forests that surround the property. Nearby, a private infinity-edge pool boasts panoramic views, whether from the pool edge, the jacuzzi, or the plentiful sun loungers that border the cool waters; underwater lighting creates a magical atmosphere in the dark, a clear evening sky revealing glorious sunsets and countless stars appearing overhead.

Inside, the warm welcome of a traditional Tuscan abode awaits; beautiful antique furniture from various eras populate the rooms, lending their age and grace to the grandeur of the villa. Wooden beams span the ceilings, dark woods contrasted by the warm cream and white walls; sculptures and art pieces form the décor, Persian rugs plush beneath the feet of whoever treads over them. The ample space and many rooms that the villa entails accommodate a considerable number of guests within its walls. As a result, two kitchens, one of which has recently been turned into a modern professional one, two dining rooms, and two lounges provide enough room to accommodate a full cohort of 19 people at capacity – with plenty of room to spare.

The formidable double hearth that dominates the villa divides the two lounges that are contained within, accommodating large groups of people without compromising on space, allowing guests to spread out in comfort. Elegant yet soft couches and armchairs fill each lounge and are arranged to enjoy the merry crackling of the flames, either while sharing in the company of family and friends or simply nestled in the softness of the sofa while letting the heat of the flames wash over and warm you. For musically inclined guests, an upright piano waits for practised hands to pass over the keys and produce music that pleases the ears.

The kitchens stand as the more modern equipped areas of the house, with state-of-the-art appliances installed to cater for any culinary requirement, and in the hands of an experienced chef with a broad range of recipes and local produce, will be sure to create an unforgettable taste sensation for one and all; the hardest part lies in the waiting of the richly flavoured foods to reach the table. This villa also boasts a brand new professional kitchen which will be available for use from March 2020!

Luxury doesn’t stop at the bedroom door; palatial beds and bedding outfit each room in the villa, so that all may sink into the sheets at the end of a hectic day and sleep in absolute comfort. Antiquated furniture, pristinely maintained, occupy each room, but are for the use of the guests to store their belongings. Four of the seven bedrooms are equipped with en-suite bathrooms, each with a bathtub and shower. The three remaining bedrooms have the use of three separate bathrooms in the villa. All bathrooms are decorated with lavish attention the detail; beautiful tilework on the walls forms a border between the mirrors and the stone-topped vanity units, while deep-set, full-sized baths take the aches from the body and wash away the cares of the day.

This villa also includes a water purifier and sterilizer for domestic use, plain, cold and sparkling. Apart from the benefit of excellent quality water, the clients have always the possibility of getting it directly from the kitchen tap at any time and naturally free. Also avoid bringing heavy bottles from the supermarket, also meaning, less single-use plastic use. IMPORTANT: with this improvement, we try to give our contribution to the PLASTIC FREE mission!
