REMèDE SPA
The RemèdeSM Spa at Bahia Beach uses the very exclusive Laboratoire Remède skin care line. You will be able to experience a very comprehensive menu of tailored services including facial, massage and body services. Personalized care combined with signature touches such as chilled champagne, indulges guests in a sophisticated tropical environment. A floating pathway leads guests to seven secluded massage villas, each with large picture windows framing the spa’s garden. This enchanting spa experience is located just outside of the resort's main entrance.
GOLF
The golf course at Bahia Beach is the Caribbean's first and only Certified Gold Audubon Signature Sanctuary Course. It was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., one of the world's pre-eminent golf course architects. The course itself is stunningly beautiful with impressive greens along the ocean, scenic lakes and undulating fairways. The pleasure of playing the course is helped by the gentle ocean breezes that are often present.
THE BEACH
The Bahia Beach Resort is located on two miles of unspoiled beach offering a destination for sheer relaxation or endless activity.
WATERSPORTS
The resort's Aquatics Center offers equipment and lessons for all non-motorized water sports including paddle boarding, kayaking, sailing, and fishing in many of the surrounding lakes. While scuba diving is not available at the resort, guests may make arrangements through our concierge for dives in nearby locations.
NATURE
Bahía Beach is the first and only resort in the Caribbean to be awarded with the Gold Signature Sanctuary certification by Audubon International in view of the fact that it has been blessed by nature since the beginning of time.
Nestled in a two-mile sandy beach on the northeast coast of the island of Puerto Rico, Bahia Beach is an idyllic location at the foot of a natural reserve of 483 acres. Over 65% of the property is preserved as green areas, sanctuaries and nature trails. It adheres to the highest standards of. There are more than 5000 trees planted within the resort.
In addition there is a state-of-art Plant Nursery is dedicated to the propagation of native and naturalized plants. A section of this Greenhouse is focused on the development of fruits, vegetables and herbs processed in a hydroponic system. Guests and residents are able to buy fresh products. Most of the herbs used at our restaurants are a product of this venue.
Lastly there is a nature center is located at the Boathouse and it serves as a laboratory for environmental education.
WILDLIFE
The area offers a wide variety of natural species including marshes, lakes, a coconut plantation, fresh water swamps, mangroves, sandy beach, coral reef and secondary forests. Endangered species like the leatherback turtle and the Caribbean Manatee are protected in coordination with public and private organizations.
TENNIS
Bahia Beach offers a state of the art tennis center that includes 4 Deco Turf hard courts of which 2 are lighted for late evening play. The tennis center is located within a lush tropical garden. Tennis equipment is available and also there are clinics for all ages and abilities.
ATHLETICS
The gym at Bahia Beach offers the finest in TechnoGym equipment, including treadmills and ellipticals, upright and reclining bikes, as well as strength-training and core work areas with free weights. The facility also offers an adjacent yoga and Pilates studio and personal training sessions.
THE CHILDRENS CLUB
The Iguana Children's Club at Bahia Beach is located in its own bright and airy pavilion on our resort grounds within easy reach of eye-opening nature walks, bird-watching and turtle-feeding.
The programme includes a wide range of engaging and adventurous activities for children ages from 4 to 12, with treasure hunts, outdoor games, arts and crafts, pool time, among many others.
For older kids, there are board games, Wii station, movies, a reading area, kitchenette, arts and crafts materials, basketball hoop, hula hoops and a variety of other recreational materials.
