Wake up to stunning sunrises from the four oceanfront bedrooms which are all set up with air conditioning and the one garden view room which allows you to commute with nature. All the bedrooms offer spectacular morning views to get your day off to an amazing start. The beautiful evening sunsets can be admired from the lagoon close by.

The master bedroom, with its snugging King size bed and large outdoor terrace, and the sea just within grasp, will bring immediate joy to your morning. Just open the drapes and wander outside to soak up the magnificent vista. This light and airy bedroom offers, aside from air conditioning, a ceiling fan, double vanity and it’s own bathroom with a tropical rain shower, a safe – and last but not least, access to the pool from the terrace.

The lovely second bedroom, with its mix of new and old furniture, has a warm and cosy vibe. A King size bed faces the outdoors maximising your opportunity to enjoy the wonderful views. This room also has easy pool access as well as a private bathroom with a shower and gorgeous ocean views.

Bedroom number three is stunningly decorated with lavish fabrics in shades of blue and lilac, which perfectly accent the white walls and Mexican wooden furniture. With a King size bed, private bathroom, pool access, and a terrace, this really is a lovely bedroom in which to enjoy some deep sleep.

The next bedroom is stylishly decorated with splashes of color to add to the white and textured walls. This is a bright room with a King size bed, as well as pool access and a private bathroom.

The last bedroom is arguably the cosiest of them all, with two single beds and a double, as well as a private bathroom. The relaxing garden view is absolutely stunning from this room; admire it without even leaving the comfort of your own bed in the mornings as you wake up slowly to the song of the birds.

The large, airy, open-plan living space has something to delight everyone. Whether to socialise with your family and loved ones around the bar or take some “me-time” on the sofa, it has a space for all. A firm favorite with guests is the round comfortable seating area at the lower level, ideal for chatting with an evening cocktail in hand while admiring the beauty of the outdoors or taking some time to read or nap. Soft cushions are scattered around this large couch for everyone to enjoy. The snack bar is just to one side, and the main dining table is opposite. This seats all guests with ease, whether for a meal, a board game, or a morning coffee. This is a luxurious interior boasting a truly magical view.

Playaakun is located within the Sian Ka’an Biosphere, which is a UNESCO-protected reserve, meaning that you are sitting directly on a pristine Caribbean beach surrounded by lush vegetation and coconut palms. The Villa has its own private beach as well as an ample deck area with a large, rounded infinity pool. All around the pool you will find sun loungers where you can bask in the Mexican heat, as well as a casual alfresco dining arrangement where you can enjoy the views and amazing food at the same time. You can also continue up to the rooftop terrace. This is truly one of the most beautiful places to be. With part of it shaded and the rest in the sun, the roof terrace is a great place to chill. Long built-in couches line the walls with coffee tables to place your drinks on or play a game of cards at, then smaller sets of two chairs and a table are at both ends. Here you can chit-chat with a loved one and catch up on each other’s busy lives as you soak up the beaming sun.

An amazing plus to this Villa is that it comes fully staffed; you will not have to lift a finger if you are not in the mood. Of course, this includes a private chef who is available to conjure up any meal you feel like sampling. This Villa is located in Riviera Maya, which is both, one of the best places to visit in Mexico and one of the safest places in Mexico. There is so much to experience here, from unwinding by the sea to learning about the local history and culture and exploring the local towns. Playaakun is only thirty minutes away from the incredible Tulum Ruins and from Tulum town. There are unlimited ways to spend your time, but the most important thing is to have a great vacation with the people you love the most.

*The villa is built and functioning in a sustainable and ecological manner, as per rules and regulations of the UNESCO natural reserve. We will buy the Sian Ka’an park entrance tickets in advance, which are $5 USD per person per day and will add to your bill for the end of the stay.

**Please note, due to Sian Ka’an being a protected reserve, it is not permitted to bring external ATVs, water sports equipment such as kiteboards, or audio equipment. It is also forbidden to fish, in order to protect the endangered sea life. Additionally, pets are not allowed.

It is also important to note that roads in Sian Ka’an are unpaved and therefore distances and times may vary depending on the season and road quality/condition.

Please be aware that, due to warming weather and fluctuating ocean currents, the Riviera Maya may experience the presence of naturally occurring seaweed during the hotter months of the year.
