This beautiful and spacious apartment, offering 135m2, spread across the two top floors of the chalet is the ideal location for a vacation in Zermatt. The home has elevator access making it easy for guests after a day of hiking or skiing through the mountainside.

Set on a beautiful hillside, boasting superb views of Zermatt village, the property also has a partial view of the infamous Matterhorn Mountain. This is the perfect view to wake up to in the morning. Begin your day in Zermatt with a cup of coffee and the most superb view in the country.

The closest mountain lift station is the Matterhorn Express, an easy 600m walk, and there is also a bus stop just by the main entrance. The nearest shops are 350m away. The easy accessibility to the property makes it perfect for those looking to enjoy all the town offer. You will be utterly spoilt for choice from excellent restaurants and so many things to see and do.

The Parrot Penthouse sleeps six people in three bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms are doubles with en-suite bathrooms, while the third bedroom has a bunk bed perfect for kids. The rooms offer sleeping arrangements for a family or group of friends. The double beds can be configured as doubles or Austrian twins (separate mattresses in the same bed frame) if you wish.

The Parrot Penthouse has a light and modern, airy feel, with a high, sloping wooden beamed roof and big floor-to-ceiling windows. These give you a wonderful panorama over the Dom and Täschhorn mountain peaks, which glow in the sunset. At your feet is the charming village of Zermatt with its twinkling lights at night. During the day, you can also admire the mature silver birch and pine trees from the wide balcony of the property.

The superbly equipped modern designer kitchen is open plan, giving onto the dining area with its long wooden table and generous seating. The living area has a wood-burning fireplace. The main floor has a double bedroom with an en-suite shower / WC and a desk. The bunk bedroom with a shower / WC opposite is also on this floor. This bedroom has its own balcony offering privacy for its guests.

The other double bedroom in Parrot Penthouse is on the top floor of the chalet (accessed by a spiral staircase), with an en-suite bathroom containing a large bathtub and a separate shower room / WC. The rooms in the apartment offer privacy for their guests, guaranteeing a relaxing vacation. This bedroom has its own balcony. There is a washing machine in the apartment. The chalet building has also a ski room and a laundry room.

LOCATION:
Zermatt is a car-free resort, so access is usually via train from the last stop at Tasch. The train from Tasch to Zermatt takes just 10 minutes. Alternatively, we can arrange a private vehicle all the way into Zermatt main train station from the airport, and the rate includes an arrival and departure taxi service to and from Zermatt main station (up to 2 taxis).

To most people, Zermatt means one thing: the Matterhorn. This famous and beautiful Swiss icon looms over Zermatt, drawing visitors since the 1860s. Visit the Alpine Museum to learn about early attempts to reach the summit. Zermatt itself is a quaint and charming, car-free village with old-fashioned brown chalets and winding alleys. Electric vehicles and horse-drawn cabs provide transport through the streets of Zermatt. A year-round destination, Zermatt is surrounded by 36 mountains, popular for their superb skiing (often into early summer) and hiking.

The nearest airport is Sion, 1hr 30m away, and Geneva is approximately three hours and thirty minutes away.
