The villa’s L-shaped swimming pool, finished in cerulean blue, is surrounded by tiled patios and soft artificial turf that stays cool underfoot, creating a relaxed atmosphere for sunbathing or lounging in the shade provided by the home’s distinctive design. On the third floor, the roof deck invites guests to enjoy a private sundeck, open garden, and a covered outdoor kitchen and dining area, ideal for sunset meals or late-night cocktails under a sky of stars. New outdoor furniture has been ordered to enhance these entertaining spaces further.
Inside, Olympus flows effortlessly towards the sea. Upon entry, the floating staircase and tropical wood details lead directly to the oceanfront great room, which opens onto an ipe deck and a white sandy backyard, with the Caribbean waters just beyond. The expansive kitchen is a favorite spot for guests who often hire a private chef to prepare meals while they gather around the oversized island counter.
For those seeking quiet moments, a reading room sits beside the living area, while a large LED TV offers entertainment for relaxed evenings. Each bedroom features wall-mounted TVs equipped with SONOS sound bars, cable, Netflix, and Apple TV, ensuring guests have plenty of options for downtime. Beach Notes:
The entire island is only 22 miles wide from west to east so you are never too far from anywhere on Grand Cayman. The homes on the oceanfront in Rum Point offer great reef-protected snorkeling. The beaches usually have plenty of white sand, but also can have spots of rocky “ironshore” with natural rock formations.
The closer you get to Rum Point, usually the sandier the beach as well as the swimming. Either way, with the abundant marine life we have in the water, you will want to wear pool shoes or fins for foot protection. The prevailing trade winds from the east also make flying insects less of a pest—many of the homes in Rum Point don’t even need a screened porch.
Olympus has a very sandy water entrance for swimming, however, there are critters so please wear foot protection. We do get tidal seagrasses on the beach. The owners hire a service that will rake the beach weekly to make a clear path to the water for snorkeling, kayaking, and swimming.
The big draw to this area is the proximity to the Rum Point Club, a public beach club that offers a fantastic barefoot beach, many water sports, a fine-dining restaurant, a beach bar & grill, a gift shop, and pick-up beach volleyball games. Also nearby is the Kaibo Yacht Club restaurant, bar and marina.
General Grand Cayman Beach Notes: All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically public since the Crown owns up to the high water mark.The shoreline quality behind your property may vary slightly from the images on our website due to shifting tides and weather patterns. The next-door beach is also always available for your use.
Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed: Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally. Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency over the years during the summer. Our owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival. Should sargassum weed be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions.
