A dream retreat for couples in the heart of Venice, this newly renovated one-bedroom apartment is nestled within a private palazzo on the Grand Canal, just moments from the iconic Piazza San Marco.

Few vacation rentals can claim such an enviable location, perched at the entrance of the breathtaking Grand Canal, only a five-minute stroll to Saint Mark’s Square and steps from Venice’s finest boutiques. On one side, the apartment faces the majestic Santa Maria della Salute Basilica and the Punta della Dogana museum, while on the other, it overlooks a secluded square.

The history of this private palazzo stretches back to the 12th century when the Barozzi family constructed the original Ca’Barozzi, a medieval fortress featuring crenelations, an open gallery, and two prominent towers. In the 17th century, architect Bartolomeo Manopola reimagined the structure as a Renaissance-style palace. By the early 19th century, the Treves family, barons of Bonfili, modernized the building.

The Lipparini apartment is the newest addition to this exclusive collection of rentals. Renovated and redesigned in spring 2019, it occupies the Piano Nobile, the palazzo’s first floor traditionally reserved for its grandest spaces. Upon entering, you are welcomed by a refined foyer adorned with antique mirrors, vintage architectural prints, and timeless decor.

The apartment’s opulence extends into the spacious living room, enhanced by high ceilings and tall windows that bathe the room in natural light while offering views of a serene square framed by elegant historic buildings. The décor seamlessly blends classic Venetian charm with contemporary elegance, featuring exquisite parquet floors, historic artwork, modern lighting, and comfortable furnishings, including a divan that doubles as a third bed for a child.

The equally generous bedroom is crowned by a romantic super-king-sized bed with a Venetian-style canopy, creating an inviting and intimate atmosphere. The room also boasts a cozy sitting area, a distinctive walk-in closet, and a luxurious en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. For added convenience, a guest powder room is located near the entryway.

The kitchen is stylish and functional, equipped with state-of-the-art appliances and a cozy breakfast nook to enjoy freshly delivered croissants each morning.

STAFF AND SERVICES:

• Welcome hamper: In your apartment, you will find one bottle of our favorite Bellini (prosecco + peach juice), four bottles of water (2 still and two fizzy), fresh fruit, black tea, a Nespresso machine and coffee capsules, milk, sugar, butter, and jam.
• Morning croissants: around 8 am, fresh croissants will be delivered to your door.
• Guests can use the Palazzo's private dock on their arrival and departure day; this greatly facilitates arrival as most guests take water taxis from the airport or train station (or the car park) directly to the Palazzo.
