Leandra

Description

Welcome to Villa Leandra. Only 27 minutes away from the walled city of Lucca, this refined Italian manor houses 7 beautifully appointed bedrooms and presents the perfect getaway in the middle of the Italian rolling hills of Tuscany, while still within easy reach of tons of interesting things to do. Visit famous cities like Lucca, Pisa, Florence, or just indulge in some wine-tasting tours in the countryside. Never a dull moment to be had when staying in Villa Leandra.

The property is nestled amid 6 hectares of manicured land and gorgeous views of the green hills that surround it. It promises a peaceful and relaxing stay guaranteed by the professional staff that will take care of every detail to ensure that you and your loved ones have an unforgettable vacation.

This stunning Villa is distributed on four different levels. The lower level and ground floor house common living spaces, kitchen and staff quarters, and the first and second floor accommodate the bedrooms with their respective en-suite bathrooms. The best thing is that all levels can be easily reachable by an elevator, so it is perfectly suited for elderly people too.

So, let’s get into details from bottom to top. The Lower Level is set in a sort of open concept, merging three rooms into a single space to wit: a spacious professional kitchen that becomes the cauldron of the most enchanting Italian dishes you could dream of ever tasing; the wine cellar that offers a wide selection of Tuscan wines that marry each dish perfectly and a generous formal dining room that can sit up to 18 guests. This area opens directly onto the outdoor areas through beautiful French doors, providing some fresh air on a warm evening. The staff quarters, as well as a laundry room, are also located on this level of the home.

The Ground floor offers several spaces for relaxation or fun, whichever your preference. There is a bright formal living room to get together if you have friends over for dinner. It is comfortable and sophisticated, and its style is highlighted thanks to its Persian rugs, original antiques, and some family heirlooms, which bring an elegant feel and a personal touch to the room. Large French doors ensure this traditional room doesn’t feel stuffy and let you soak up the morning sun while enjoying the garden views. There is also a Media room that features a large flat-screen satellite TV, DVD, and music system so that you can indulge in some TV series binge-watching or, why not, work on your Italian by watching some local movies. For the days when you have a full agenda, so very little time to enjoy a sit-down meal, this floor also houses a fully equipped kitchen to prepare informal meals. Last but not least, for those who cannot get away from work completely, Leandra also has an office room provided with everything needed to work while away from your desk, if you really have to.

After a day full of outdoor activities like tennis or making use of the large swimming pool, or just some relaxing time in the sauna, or exploring the amazing sites Tuscany has to offer, Leandra provides 7 gorgeous en-suite bedrooms for your perfect night’s rest.

BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS
All the bedrooms in Villa Leandra are provided with air conditioning and bathrooms are supplied with hairdryers and bathrobes for the comfort of its guests. The bedrooms are distributed and set up as follows:

First Floor:
Bedroom 1:1 twin/king bedroom, with en-suite bathroom with tub and separate shower;
Bedroom 2:1 twin/king bedroom, with en-suite bathroom with tub and hand-held shower;
Bedrooms 3 & 4:2 twin/king bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom with shower;
Bedroom 5:1 king bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower.

Second Floor:
Bedroom 6: 1 king bedroom with en-suite bathroom with tub and separate shower;
Bedroom 7: 1 king bedroom with en-suite bathroom with tub and separate shower.

The outdoors of Villa Leandra is as stunning as the home itself. Large manicured gardens make the perfect setting for a large pool heated by a solar heating system. Nearby is the private tennis court, which provides the perfect way to burn off some of the calories consumed through mouth-watering Italian dishes and wine tastings. But of course, there is a gazebo for some al-fresco dining to gain them all back again!

Villa Leandra is the ideal base from which to explore all of Tuscany and make memories with family and loved ones that will never cease to enchant you. Lucca, known as the city of 99 churches, is full of architectural marvels from millennia ago, all the way to the present day. Travel alongside the ancient Roman-era aqueducts that provided the city with a source of water; explore the Renaissance-era city walls that have deep underground passages, or visit the plaza that once served as an amphitheater, now surrounded by medieval houses and shops. Wonderful boutique shops can be found throughout the city, and you can enjoy a cup of coffee or a delicious meal in one of the many cafes and restaurants as you explore the city at your leisure.

Further afield, the city of Pisa is right on the coastline and is filled with shops, restaurants, bars, and clubs to enjoy. There are many cultural and historical sights to explore and admire, alongside the titular Leaning Tower of Pisa which is so popular among visitors. Closer to the coast, Forte dei Marmi is an excellent beach destination during the summer and is a popular spot with visiting tourists.

Just about an hour's drive away is world-renown Florence, a tourist hotspot, and Mecca for Renaissance and art aficionados for a good reason. Lovers of art and history will already be aware that Tuscany is steeped in history - Florence, the seat of the famous Medici family, lies to the east of the Villa and is the reputed heart of the Renaissance. The most populated city in Tuscany, Florence has a long history stretching back to Roman times, with architectural and artistic wonders on display in its many basilicas, churches, museums, and castles.
