La Tosca

Welcome to La Tosca Villa, an eight-bedroom luxury villa, born in 1903, situated in the heart of the Bassin d’Arcachon and considered as one of the best examples of Italian influenced “Arcachon Architecture”. This villa is unique to this area because of its large spacious chambers and being on the seafront.

The current owners of the estate have wonderfully refurbished and renovated the property and its 5000m2 parks with immense care and eye for detail. La Tosca has been given a new lease of life as it is now over 100 years old.

This villa is perfect for small to medium gatherings and is a perfect place for a family or group of friends to come together and experience all that the region has to offer. Whether you want an action-packed, sporty vacation, local delicious food and a luxury wine experience or a more relaxing vacation, La Tosca cater to all preferences.

Since the renovation, the villa has a wonderful blend of the old Italian style architecture and modern, contemporary design. The villa is wonderfully furnished with stylish yet comfortable furnishings, making it very homely and cosy for the guests to enjoy.

All bedrooms are fitted with King or double-sized beds, designed for maximum comfort. You will never want to get out of bed in the morning. All the rooms are bright, spacious and roomy. They all have wonderful modern but comfortable furnishings. Some of the rooms have private terraces with spectacular views, an ideal place for a morning yoga session.

The kitchen in the villa is fully equipped with 2 integrated ovens, a gas hob, induction cooking, grill, built-in deep fryer, microwave, plate warming drawer, coffee machine, ice maker, freezer, and American style fridge, making this a wonderful place for a few members of the party to gather and cook up a feast for everyone to enjoy. The cosy kitchen is open plan, separating the dining room with only a two-sided large fireplace. On the other side are large dining settings with spacious and comfortable lounge areas.

A chef can be provided if requested in advance and can cater to all tastes and preferences. Guests are invited to decide what they would like to eat as the chef can cook to their tastes. Otherwise, the chef can provide a wonderful menu of local fare and some fine wine pairings from our own cellar. There is also
a semi-professional standard kitchen available for guests to use if they wish.

The villa also includes a private wine cellar where guests can indulge in a large variety of French wines. La Tosca’s original but renovated wine cellar keeps an ideal temperature and humidity for the careful maturing of French wines.

The Arcachon Bay, the top spot for bathing and swimming tourism, is tidal and the daily withdrawal of the Atlantic Ocean ensures the release of health-giving ions into the atmosphere from the seabed.

Bordeaux, with its beautiful architecture and wonderful history, are half an hour away from the villa and offer endless cultural attractions. Bordeaux is also famous for its incredible food and exceptional restaurants.

This region enjoys a lovely climate, mild in winter and with a hot throughout the rest of the year. There is the perfect amount of rainfall required for the Bordeaux vineyards to flourish and to ensure the countryside’s luxuriant greenery.

In summer, guests can dine on one of the outdoor terraces, while admiring the beautiful scenery and wonderful French sunsets.
A pebbled garden path and wooden bridge lead to the organic home-grown vegetable garden, soaked in sunlight and surrounded by oak trees. Guests can accompany the chef to the garden where they have the option of picking the vegetables, they would like prepared for their dinner. Guests can also pick their own fruits from the apple, pear, fig or cherry trees.

The minimalist infinity pool on the property is perfect for a dip if you prefer this fresh filtered water to the sea. The onsite spring water is filtered and regenerated. The pool deck offers yet another site to have a massage or romantic candlelight dining.
The garden of the luxury seaside property offers guests a unique experience in the ecological pool providing its own natural spring water, a petanque field and outdoor table tennis.
