Welcome to Kaya, a wonderfully appointed 3-bedroom villa perched high on the upper echelons of the Vitet hills on the island of St. Barths.

With lush greenery winding its way throughout, the villa is divided into two separate buildings, the main villa and the guest house adjacent to the pool.

A swimming pool sits between the two, completing the cool, calming oasis vibe that Kaya emits; a heating option and ambient lighting make the prospect of swimming in the cooler evening a prospect too tempting to resist. With two bedrooms in each building, it offers ample spaces for guests to come together with several areas to socialize, while also providing plenty of room to spread out, and privacy and seclusion at the close of the day, making it an ideal property for extended family or friend groups.

The open plan format of the villa gives it flow and a feeling of ease; the polished wood finish of the floors, lofty ceilings, the vast volumes of natural light that fill each room and comfortable softness of the furnishings complete the barefoot luxury ideology. Hammocks, sun loungers, living areas, dining areas and all manner of cosy nooks are to be found throughout the villa, inside and out, with elaborate art pieces from all walks of life working in harmony with one another to create a Zen-like ambience.

The villa’s gourmet kitchen has supplied with state-of-the-art appliances and everything you’ll need to whip up superb flavours and mouth-watering fare. Alternatively, take the hassle out of preparing dinner and leave it in the hands of a private chef; inevitably, the most difficult part about dinner is waiting for it, as the delicious aromas draw everyone to the table.

Softly lit and welcoming, each of the three bedrooms contains luxurious beds and bedding that are a joy to sink into at the end of each day. All bedrooms also come with generously outfitted en-suite bathrooms, as well as access to the terrace. The privileged position of the villa high on the hills means that a panoramic view of the ocean’s horizon can be seen, equally breathtaking whether it be by sun’s light or a starry night.

The west of St. Barth’s holds Gustavia, the capital of the island; a short drive from the villa, Gustavia hosts plenty of shops, bars and restaurants, to allow guests have their fill of retail therapy, experience the nightlife, sample the local cuisine, and for those with a keen interest in the past life of the island, explore some of the distinctive histories of St. Barth’s - a good place to start would be Gustavia itself, where the influences of past ruling countries still remain today, including Fort Karl, left by the Swedish to protect the island in the 1700s.
