Welcome to Japao, a luxurious, fully-serviced private island off Brazil’s Green Coast. With a footprint of over 6 acres, the spacious accommodations that can comfortably sleep ten guests provide privacy and seclusion in a paradise with its own private sandy beach. You will be cared for by a team of 12 staff who will cater to all your needs, leaving you time to explore your mini-dense rainforest jungle and the endless, clear ocean around the island and indulge in a 5-star castaway vacation experience.

Japao’s two luxurious suites and three self-contained bungalows provide 7,000 square feet of living space. Meals are prepared using ingredients from the organic garden onsite. The island has a pier, great for mooring a boat, and a helipad allowing easy access to the mainland. But the wonderful days filled with activities, divine barbeque lunches overlooking the sea, or relaxing in the 10-person jacuzzi keep guests happily on their island retreat.

The main Villa is an Indonesian-inspired structure. The cascading Koi pond creates a restful vibe. The master suite with a king bed is located here. In addition, there is a duplex suite, also with a king bed. The fully equipped kitchen, art-filled living room, and a large second-floor dining area with sea views are also in the main Villa. The Villa has large windows that showcase the beautiful, lush greenery and blue skies that are Japao’s color template for life on this island haven.

Like the main Villa, the three nearby bungalows look very at home in their natural setting. Dark wood structures with grass roofs hide luxurious interiors. A modern king-size bedroom and attractive stone-clad shower complement a light-filled space with heavenly sea views. All the suites have Smart TVs.

The stunning swimming pool, illuminated at night, is adjacent to the main Villa set in the lush and manicured gardens. It has a covered and uncovered lounging area ideal for guests who like to take the shade throughout the day.

The ten-person jacuzzi clad in natural stone overlooks the beach and is surrounded by beautiful mature trees. There’s a Sonos sound system too.

You will find kayaks and paddleboards at the beach, perfect for exploring the swathes of blue/green clear waters that lap around this pretty island. The iridescent water around Japao and the other islands that make up this beautiful archipelago is the happy home to dolphin pods. So don’t be surprised if you have a playful dolphin join you as you explore the islands.

The swimming conditions off your private sandy beach are lovely. Shallow conditions that gradually deepen allow nervous water enthusiasts to splash safely.

If you want to see more of Brazil, a chartered helicopter flight will take you from Japao to Rio de Janeiro in about 35 minutes. The flight takes in the breathtaking beauty of Brazil’s Green Coast before touching down in one of the most exciting cities in the world.
