Both Princess Margaret Beach (3km) and Lower Bay (3.8) are a short ten to fifteen minutes’ drive. They can be reached on foot by the new Belmont Walkway from Port Elizabeth. This area is lined with delicious restaurants, vibrant bars, and small hotels, in the direction of Princess Margaret Beach, you will find the island’s most famous swimming spot. Bequia head Bequia Head is at the north point of the island. On the way here, you will look down to L’Anse Chemin the original landing site of the first Europeans to settle on Bequia. Here you can see some sweet-smelling cinnamon, gum trees, and wild blossoming orchids that grow on bare rock. Bequia Head offers a stunning view from almost 600 feet above sea level across the Bequia Channel to St. Vincent.
