Welcome to Villa Gauggiole, a four bedroom property located at Castiglion Del Bosco. This a rare opportunity to enjoy Tuscany the way it is meant to be experienced—on a magnificent country Estate nestled among rolling hills, sweeping vineyards, centuries-old farmhouses and treasures of antiquity, while indulging in the fruits of the land in the form of fresh regional cuisine and delectable wines.
Located in the most picturesque areas of the Estate are twenty 17th and 18th century Tuscan farmhouses that once supported the Estate's traditional agricultural activities. Nine of these homes, ranging in size from 3,000 to 6,000 square feet, have been transformed into luxurious Villas. Some are tucked away in the forest, others overlook vineyards and olive groves, a few nestle inside the Borgo and one sits proudly next to the castle ruins, but all enchant with stunning views of the Tuscan countryside.
Surrounded by vineyards, Villa Gauggiole was once home to a large farming family. Today this villa has been elegantly transformed, betraying its ancient roots in the rugged stone walls and traditional beamed ceilings, but adding modern luxuries, an air of sophisticated style, and a delightfully scenic pool and garden.
The living area has a glorious open fireplace which is complimented by 2 large beige coloured sofa couches. There is a very rustic feel about this room with the wooden ceiling and beams, Old Italian pottery that sits on the tables and long draping curtains that hide the double patio doors.
The kitchen is very spacious and makes food preparation very easy for either the budding cooks in your group or a private chef who can be hired in at any time. The furnishing are all made of stained Italian wood and have the most modern of appliances and utensils. A large breakfast bar with seating stands in the middle for your long coffee mornings and chats.
The villas comprises of 3 bedroom located upstairs in the main house. The master bedroom has a glorious king size bed, tv and walk in wardrobe. The scenery from the windows in this room are breathtaking. There is also a double bedroom with king size bed and a twin room with 2 singles bed. All rooms are en suite with bath tub and shower.
The fourth room is a guest room located adjacent to the house. It has a double bed and is en suite as well. The pool house has good living room space and fireplace. If it’s a rare piece of Tuscany you are looking for where you can sit back and relax then Villa Gauggiole will suit you well.

Castiglion del Bosco is a picture perfect landscape set in the heart of Tuscany. A five-thousand-acre estate immersed in the countryside outside Siena, with its gently rolling hills and knolls sloping down into large expanses of green in springtime and bathed in golden hues come autumn.
The property is one of the oldest and best-preserved estates in Tuscany. It is clustered around the tranquil Borgo, once an important farming and social hub, bordered by charming avenues of resinous cypresses and alive with lush aromatic courtyards, terraced gardens and sweet-scented kitchen gardens.
Situated on the ancient Via Francigena, a route travelled by merchants and pilgrims, with age-old traces of the Etruscan civilization and fine examples of Medieval and early Renaissance art, Castiglion del Bosco also offers an immaculate golf course, a Winery with barrel cellar, and a vibrant wildlife reserve. The estate’s dense woodland is teeming with deer, wild boar, pheasants and badgers, making outdoor activities all the more exciting. Imagination comes to life and that perfect picture we have painted truly exists just 90 km from Florence and 45 km from Siena, in the green and sunny Tuscan countryside.
