Description
Welcome to Villa 496, a world-class villa located on the Baja Peninsula, above the sparkling Sea of Cortez, in Los Cabos, Mexico. This five-bedroom property is a private oasis where you can enjoy a vacation with your loved ones that will be filled with memories that you will treasure long after you have returned to the busy world that is everyday life.
Villa 496 has a light, summery feeling to it, and its décor could have come straight out of a fairy tale, with a balanced combination of Moroccan and ancient Roman styles and a touch of Spanish colonial Royalty added, this home really has an international feel to it. The mix of ornate and modern furnishings adds some depth to the villa, while large round arches really open up the space and invite the indoors and outdoors to come together.
As mentioned, Villa 496 is home to five gorgeous bedrooms, each complete with its own en suite bathroom as well as adjoining terraces that overlook the pool and blue sea below. Here guests can enjoy a late-night glass of wine or a sunrise meditation with the gentle sounds of the waves in the background. The three master suites have king beds, whereas room four has two queens and room five has a queen sofa bed.
We are now turning our attention to the social and living areas of this Mexican oasis that take up much of the 5,000 square feet of indoor space that is Villa 496. A large dining table that seats eight guests flows into a gourmet stone-tile kitchen where you can find the villa's dedicated chef, and maybe watch them in action at the conveniently located kitchen island. Move over to the family or television room, where you will find a conversation pit by an ornate fireplace to one side and then another comfortable seating arrangement looking at a large television and entertainment system. Then for those who cannot leave their work behind, do not fret we have the perfect office set up, which if not used can be converted into a bedroom or television room, wonderful for children.
Continuing on to the 2,000-square-foot expanse of outdoor living space, we find unlimited relaxation areas. A shaded loggia spans the length of the villa and is equipped with ceiling fans to offer a cool outdoor setting. The infinity pool overlooks the sea and is perfect for a quick dip or swimming a few laps to get your heart beating. It is surrounded by some chaises and oversized sun loungers as well as some sun umbrellas, which make the sun an option. Just beside all of this is the villa’s private hot tub as well as a large fire pit, where you can curl up and admire the stars late at night. Alongside all of this is a state-of-the-art barbeque grill, next to a round, travertine dining table for up to eight guests, and offers a great outdoor dining arrangement should you choose to eat outside.
This home is situated next to the five-star One & Only Palmilla resort. A short 5-minute golf cart drive will bring you to the resort's restaurants, bars, a world-class spa, and tennis courts. Please be advised that access requires a reservation in advance. These can be made before arrival at your villa or through your butler/concierge services while in residence. The resort swimming pool and private beach are for in-house guests only.

So Perfect
This Villa is perfect! We have always loved Mexico but this was by far our favourite trip. It was so much fun to spend a week with our friends. The concierge service was so helpful and scheduled a few activities for us and really made everything do smoothly. I can't wait to return soon!
