CHALET SHALIMAR

Welcome to Chalet Shalimar, a luxurious 10 bedroom fully catered Ski Chalet with private pool located in Zermatt. The chalet is ideal for groups of up to 20 guests and is one of the nicest chalets in Zermatt, nestled in the exclusive suburb of Winklematten. From the chalet, you can ski to and from the slopes (snow permitting) with the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise just a 10 minute walk away. The centre of Zermatt can be reached by walking 10-15 minute or for extra convenience you can take an electric taxi which takes 4 minutes to bring you to the heart of Zermatt.

The chalet is perfect for corporate groups or for families and friends get-togethers. If less rooms are required, Shalimar can be split into two smaller apartments.
Elena sleeps 8 guests in 4 bedrooms and Alex sleeps 12 guests in 6 bedrooms. Even, when split, the apartments have their own separate living and dining areas and facilities.

The interior and exterior design of the chalet is based on traditional alpine living with luxurious furnishings ensuring a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere.

The upper floor of Chalet Shalimar features spacious living and dining rooms which have ceiling to floor sliding doors, ensuring plenty of natural light and spectacular views. Your personal chef will work in 2 open-plan fully equipped kitchens, also located on the top floor, to prepare your meals should you take the chalet on a fully catered basis. In the winter months, plush sofas in front of the roaring fire offer ultimate relaxation after a day on the slopes. With two entertainment rooms also on this floor, there is plenty of space for everybody and quiet corners for peace and quiet if required.

Six ensuite beautifully furnished bedrooms occupy the first floor of the chalet. All bedrooms in Shalimar can be made up into either double or twin rooms.

On the ground floor you will find four more ensuite bedrooms, 2 living/dining areas and 2 smaller kitchens. The ski and boot (complete with boot warmers) room is also located on the ground floor.

At the heart of Chalet Shalimar is the amazing wellness and spa area featuring an indoor swimming pool with breathtaking views of the Matterhorn, sauna, hammam, and a massage room all on the ground level of the chalet.

STAFF
If guests choose to take the chalet on a fully catered basis, the apartment is staffed with a professional chef and host, six days a week as well as a dedicated concierge. When taken on a self-catered basis there is a daily housekeeping service as well as a concierge who will be on hand to assist with any finer details throughout the week.
