Chalet Schlumatt is a beautiful newly built luxury chalet. Chalet Schlumatt is conveniently situated on Schluhmattstrasse making it a ski-in and ski-out property for blue run skiers. The chalet is 3 minutes’ walk from the main Klein Matterhorn Ski Lift and is also 8-10 minutes from the main high street of Zermatt. There are several good restaurants and bars within a 5-minute walk of this property. All these factors contribute to Chalet Schlumatt being the ideal place for a relaxing and easy-going vacation in Zermatt.

This chalet is a luxurious four-bedroom abode in the heart of the lovely Winkelmatten area of Zermatt. The apartment is on the third floor of a new chalet built in 2007, ‘Haus Pegasus’, built in traditional Swiss quality with luxury decor throughout including beautiful Italian bathroom fittings, modern kitchen appliances, Swiss oak floors and fitted wardrobes. There is an elevator in the building making it easily accessible for all persons.

This stunning four-bedroom apartment consists of one double en suite bedroom and three double/twin bedrooms which share two bathrooms. Three of the four bedrooms boast magnificent Matterhorn views, and all have TVs. The kitchen is open plan with the lounge and dining area and is a fully fitted Pollinger kitchen with Miele appliances, a large oven, induction hob, dishwasher, coffee machine and the usual kitchen appliances and brushed glass worktops. You will never have to leave the comfort of your beautiful and luxurious home if you do not wish to do so.

The lounge is equipped with a Cable TV, DVD, I-Pod dock for your convenience and entertainment and has fantastic Matterhorn views through the floor to ceiling windows. These beautiful views can also be enjoyed from the balconies. There is also an open fire in this property, adding to the cosy alpine vibe of this property.

To most people, Zermatt means one thing: the Matterhorn. This famous and beautiful Swiss icon looms over Zermatt, drawing visitors since the 1860s. Visit the Alpine Museum to learn about early attempts to reach the summit. Zermatt itself is a quaint and charming, car-free village with old-fashioned brown chalets and winding alleys. Electric vehicles and horse-drawn cabs provide transport through the streets of Zermatt. A year-round destination, Zermatt is surrounded by 36 mountains, popular for their superb skiing (often into early summer) and hiking.

The chalet has a very well-equipped kitchen too, which amateur chefs are sure to enjoy using. It is open-plan to the living and dining room, making for a sociable evening for everyone. The kitchen itself includes Miele appliances, a large oven, induction hob, dishwasher and coffee machine and beautiful granite worktops, so you can cook up a storm for your party on nights when you don’t want to leave the comfort of your luxury ski chalet.

If you prefer not to lift a finger cooking for yourselves during your stay, Chalet Schlumatt can also be taken on a catered basis with a private chef.

LOCATION:
Chalet Schlumatt is an apartment on the third floor of the prestigious Haus Pegasus building in the Winkelmatten area of Zermatt in Switzerland.

This luxury ski chalet is set right on the Schlumattstrasse, so blue-run skiers can ski-in and ski-out. It is a 3-minute walk to the Klein Matterhorn ski lift and a 10-minute walk to the centre of Zermatt, but there are a number of restaurants and bars just a short 5 minute walk away.

Zermatt is a car-free resort, so access is usually via train from the last stop at Tasch. The train from Tasch to Zermatt takes just 10 minutes. Alternatively, we can arrange a private vehicle all the way into Zermatt main train station from the airport.

The nearest airport is Sion, 1hr 30m away, and Geneva which is approximately 3h 30m away.

KIDS:
With three twin bedrooms as well as a double, this luxury ski chalet is ideal for families. The open-plan living space provides plenty of room to play and there is a TV and DVD player to keep children of all ages amused in the evenings.

Being so well located in the town centre as well as the slopes, you’ll be out and about with your little ones within minutes.
