This property is the perfect blend of style and elegance. Fusing modern and classical Alpine design with the spirit of the mountains, Chalet Aria evokes a feeling of serenity and tranquillity in the exclusive Alpine village of Zermatt. Zermatt’s Chalet Aria provides accommodation for 8 guests, this exquisite 240m2 penthouse apartment is centrally located and boasts stunning views of the Matterhorn and the serene village of Zermatt. The design of the property combines oak accents and natural stone features with contemporary design to make for the perfect alpine residence.

Chalet Aria features four double bedrooms and four bathrooms (two bathrooms and two shower rooms). Each bedroom has a TV, underfloor heating and subtle lighting. The kitchen is a fully fitted Pollinger with granite worktops and ceramic hobs. There is a beautiful oak table that can seat 8 of your guests comfortably and the floor to ceiling windows offer stunning views.

The lounge in this chalet has an open fire, TV, DVD, surround sound and is a lovely space in which to relax and spend time with friends. Relax in the evening after a long day of skiing and adventuring the countryside. Crack open a bottle of wine, relax by the fire and catch up with family and friends. This penthouse is beautiful, spacious and offers the comfort of a home-from-home. It has been luxuriously finished to cater for your every need and can be accessed by stairs or lift making it a perfect home for all guests even those less mobile than others.

The ground floor of this chalet has a small fitness room and massage area where our in-house therapist can offer Swedish massage, Indian head massage as well as manicures, pedicures and facials. You are guaranteed a peaceful and relaxing vacation at Chalet Aria. You won’t want to leave your tranquil abode once you’ve arrived. There is also an outdoor Jacuzzi on the ground floor which can be booked for private use, this is accessed through the fitness and relaxation room.

This chalet is easily accessible as it is only a 2-minute walk from the centre of the village. The Klein Matterhorn Lift is also a short 5-7 minutes’ walk or 2 minutes on the ski-bus.

This chalet has only 3 other units in the building, a two-bedroom and a three-bedroom apartment on the first floor and one 5-bedroom apartment on the second floor.

LOCATION:
Chalet Aria is in the Alpine village of Zermatt, just two minutes’ walk from the village centre. The property is five to seven minutes’ walk from the Matterhorn ski lift (two minutes by ski bus) and you can ski back to within 200m of the chalet.
Zermatt is a car-free resort, so access is usually via train from the last stop at Tasch. The train from Tasch to Zermatt takes just 10 minutes. Alternatively, we can arrange a private vehicle all the way into Zermatt main train station from the airport and the rate includes an arrival and departure taxi service to and from Zermatt main station (up to 2 taxis).

To most people, Zermatt means one thing: the Matterhorn. This famous and beautiful Swiss icon looms over Zermatt, drawing visitors since the 1860s. Visit the Alpine Museum to learn about early attempts to reach the summit. Zermatt itself is a quaint and charming, car-free village with old-fashioned brown chalets and winding alleys. Electric vehicles and horse-drawn cabs provide transport through the streets of Zermatt. A year-round destination, Zermatt is surrounded by 36 mountains, popular for their superb skiing (often into early summer) and hiking.

The nearest airport is Sion, 1hr 30m away, and Geneva is approximately 3h 30m away.

The evening’s fun starts with canapés and aperitifs before you all sit down to a fabulous gourmet meal.

There will be a pre-arrival menu consultation, giving you the opportunity to discuss your preferences and ensure all members of your party are catered for.
For younger visitors a children’s menu can be provided and served at an earlier time, or whenever suits you.

On your chef’s day off, or if you just fancy a night on the town, Zermatt has some fantastic restaurants to choose from – everything from traditional Swiss establishments to some great Italian eateries.
