Surrounded by 50 hectares of gently rolling hills, olive groves, and the soothing flow of a nearby river, this exceptional villa is a place where elegance, artistry, and nature exist in perfect harmony. Lovingly restored by its current owners, an Italian architect and his Australian wife, Casale Felicità has been transformed into a home that honors its history while embracing contemporary luxury. Every corner reflects their deep appreciation for authentic Tuscan style and modern comfort. The original structure has been meticulously preserved, its character enriched through the creative use of local materials, terracotta, stone, oak, and handcrafted finishes. Previously owned by a celebrated American writer and featured in the BBC’s acclaimed television series Summer’s Lease, the villa carries a story-rich past and a deeply soulful presence.
The interiors of the villa are refined and atmospheric. Guests are welcomed through a traditional covered loggia into a grand entrance foyer. The main living level is laid with handmade Tuscan terracotta tiles and features a spacious double lounge with an open fireplace, a sun-filled dining room, and a sleek, modern kitchen outfitted for serious cooking. Polished Travertine countertops, a central island, wine fridge, and a double fridge/freezer make it ideal for long dinners and culinary exploration. Five sets of French doors open onto the outdoor living spaces, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor flow.
One of the villa’s most enchanting features is its traditional pergola dining area, framed by mature trees and wildflowers. The hand-crafted oak table comfortably seats up to twenty guests, offering the perfect setting for al fresco feasts beneath the stars or sun-dappled breakfasts with valley views.
Upstairs, you’ll find another beautifully appointed living room bathed in natural light. It has hardwood chevron parquet underfoot and an original fireplace at its heart.
