Welcome to Casa Lanui, a unique 7-bedroom luxury home in Costa Rica. This brand new five-star villa has over 9,340 square feet (867m2) of construction and is situated in a private 1.6-acre (6500m2) property, right in front of the beautiful beach of Santa Teresa. Casa stands for “home” in Spanish and Lanui for “holiday” in Hawaiian and we can guarantee that you are “home for the holidays”.

Casa Lanui is located on the northern, most exclusive part of Santa Teresa, with direct access to the white, sandy beach. This strand is the perfect location for surf lovers as it is on this beach that they can find the most consistent waves of Costa Rica.

The villa is located within the North Creek Estate, on the same property as Casa Taman (4 bedroom 4 ½ bath). Both houses can be rented separately or together for a large group, sleeping up to 28 guests combined.

Casa Lanui’s design is contemporary, classy, hippie chic and will provide you with all the amenities needed to enjoy some good quality down time. This 7-bedroom, 7 1/2-bathroom villa comfortably accommodates big families or a group of friends in a unique, private and safe location.

The spacious living room area interconnects freely with the infinity pool, the paved and wooden decks, the garden and the ocean beyond. Indoors you will find a big, fully equipped kitchen and prep kitchen, with ample seating at the kitchen island and at a console style table that seats from 8 to 10 guests. The dining area includes an 18-foot-long dining table that comfortably sits up to 20 people. Guests can relax in a large, cozy lounge area with a 60” television, and the ocean view in the background.

When the time comes for some peaceful and regenerating sleep, Casa Launui features 3 master bedrooms with breathtaking ocean views, 1 master bedroom with garden view as well as two children’s bedrooms, each one with two bunk beds, sleeping 8 children in total. For accompanying staff (assistant, babysitter, chef…) or those who prefer more privacy, there is also a separate studio with a king-sized bed, full bathroom and a kitchenette. This studio is handicap-accessible and has an en-suite adapted full bathroom and roll-in shower.

The outdoors offers an infinity edge pool with shallow hang out areas, surrounded by terraces and wooden decks, which are furnished with several lounge chairs for you to work on your tan, read a book and why not, have a “siesta” (commonly known as a nap!).

This property also caters to well-being activities, as it has an outdoor patio that is ideal if used for a massage, yoga or workout area. So serious are we about this, that the villa has two massage tables available and you can choose to have a massage indoors, in an air-conditioned room, outdoors on the shaded yoga deck or in the garden, close to the ocean under the shade of one of the many lush trees that surround the villa.

Between the house and the beach there is a naturally shaded, spacious, open area to hang out with lounge chairs and hammocks during the day. On a warm evening, guests can enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail or a lavish meal with an amazing view of the tropical sunset while sitting at the large dining table that is located on the sand, close to the beach. It can’t get more relaxing and “lanui” like than this!

The beach in front of “Casa Lanui”, and the North Creek Estate, is absolutely stunning with pristine white sand that goes on forever and invites long walks in the early mornings or a refreshing dip in the sea after a hot day. Under the shade of numerous trees, you can relax in full privacy while watching some fantastic and fun surfing.

Santa Teresa, a string of beaches on the southern tip of Costa Rica’s northwestern peninsula, has an edge-of-the-world vibe that still feels remote and inspires dreams of relocation.
