I loved the jungle vibe at Casa Colibri. This villa is only a 5-10 minute drive to the stunning Playa Hermosa Beach. Nestled between Uvita and Domincal there is plenty to see and do in this area. The villa is stunning and offers some of the best views in Costa Rica.

Accessing Casa Colibri is a breeze compared to other ocean-view properties in the area. A 4x4 vehicle is not required; the property is easily reachable by any vehicle type.
Each of the four bedrooms at Casa Colibri features a plush king-size bed (with the option to convert one into two twin beds) and an en-suite shower/bathroom. Moreover, each bedroom boasts its private balcony, offering awe-inspiring views of the surrounding landscape.

Area description
Located just 5 minutes from Uvita you’ll be pleased to discover the stunning beach of Playa Hermosa. Since it lies just outside the National Park, access is entirely free!
This 3-mile long sandy beach remains completely untouched: there are no buildings around and very few people (except during the holiday season and over the weekend during the dry season). Enjoy a stroll along the seashore to soak up the wilderness and maybe spot some scarlet macaws in the almond trees!
This beach is perfect for surfing at mid-tide to high tide as well as jogging or just relaxing at low tide. There are sometimes a few local stands by the entrance (depending on the season) selling coconut water (“pipa”), snacks, and clothing, and renting surfboards.
Swimming is possible here, but beware of the rip currents in the area. If in doubt, ask the lifeguards.
Access: Head north on the Costanera for about 5 minutes from the center of Uvita. The main entrance is quite easy to spot; you’ll see a red container marked with a white cross in the middle of the parking lot. There is also a secondary access at the north end of the beach called “Achiote.” This part of the beach is next to a river (that you will need to cross to park your car at the beach). While the terrain is rockier, this area feels more private (especially outside of peak season). If you’re lucky, you’ll spot some monkeys in the early mornings.
We would like to remind you to always be careful with your car. Keep it locked and do not leave any valuables inside.
