Welcome to Buena Onda, an 8-bedroom villa overlooking the ocean in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. This luxurious two-story property expands over a total of 10,000 square feet of lavish interior living space. The villa is based on 2.5 acres of tropical forests. This villa is perfect for those who seek a quiet and secluded vacation. Situated high on a hill overlooking Costa Rica’s picturesque Papagayo Bay, the property provides guests with a sense of tranquility from the minute you step through the doors. The villa can accommodate sixteen guests as a standard, but up to twenty guests in total with added bedding which are on request.

The gardens are all manicured and perfect to walk along in the fresh mornings. You have the chance to request a yoga or Pilates lesson with our instructor during your stay to unwind your mind and body. You could even slip into the crisp waters of the two-tier swimming pool. The infinity-edge pool on the upper level has direct access to the main living areas while the lower pool has a comfortable sunbed and loungers as well as a shaded dining area with a bar. The terrace is built with smooth, sleek natural stone to create a harmonious setting. After a refreshing swim, you can dine alfresco as your professional chef serves up a delicious and tantalizing breakfast. Enjoy your food as the pale early morning sun stretches over the property. After you eat you can relax on the hammock or the sunbeds and embrace the sun's warm touch.

If you want to relax and unwind then you can always retreat to the seclusion of your private villa. You could also ask the staff to book an exciting day trip or tours such as white-water rafting, scuba diving, hiking on a volcano, or wildlife spotting. If you are looking for something extra, then Villa Buena Onda’s signature Private Hidden Beaches Tour is something you must take full advantage of. If you want to visit the local beaches then you have come to the perfect place, as Costa Rica is laced with incredible sugar-fine sandy beaches.

Spending a day on the beach is easy to do here. You can take the free shuttle bus right onto the shore of Coco Beach. Access not only to the pristine beach but also to the exclusive Beach Club is highly recommended. The club offers amenities such as a large tropical pool with a swim-up bar, waterfalls, a waterslide, and a jumping wall, a gym with cardio and strength training equipment, tennis courts, a yoga pavilion, locker rooms and showers, and a Greek dining restaurant. Another beach nearby is Ocotal Beach, a tranquil, black sand beach. The beach club in this location features an infinity pool and sun deck, beach lounge chairs, towel service, food, and beverage service under the open-air palapa, water sports equipment to rent as well as lockers and changing rooms. If you simply wish to explore the beach, then pick a spot to set up your picnic on the sandy shore.

After spending a day out on the beach, you can make your way home to Villa Buena Onda and maybe even book a relaxing spa treatment before dinner. Our on-site spa is set up on the viewing deck providing soothing sounds from the forest around and wonderful ocean views. As you are completely relaxed you can wrap up in your soft robe and sit down to a delicious meal on the covered terrace. In order to book Villa Buena Onda, the stay must include at least two meal services per day based on the options highlighted hereunder, this offers you a personalized dining experience with the best produce and service the area has to offer. Your private Chef uses fresh local ingredients to create a menu that is a fusion of authentic local cuisine with an international twist. The Chef will also offer recommendations and can make dishes to order (based on availability) as well as meet special dietary requirements with advanced notice. The villa staff can also arrange for you to try some complimentary Costa Rican cooking classes, where the chef will help you prepare traditional dishes.

The Architectural layout of the house embraces an open-concept ethos which creates this spacious and airy villa. The large windows, sliding glass doors, secluded balconies, and high vaulted ceilings all add to the overall sophisticated impression. The Villa blends Mexican and Balinese styles. The interiors of the villa were specifically designed by Luisa Carranza. This serene haven is fitted with luxurious materials including combining leather, silk, and iron, as well as smooth traditional woods. The villa holds incredible ocean views and the views of Playas del Coco as the key focus.

Villa Buena Onda holds a total of eight luxurious bedrooms. The rooms include a master suite, ocean views suites, poolside suites, and Garden rooms. Each room offers you its own private en-suite bathroom with dual sinks and a standalone rainfall shower. However, the master suite also offers an additional jetted bathtub. The bathrooms feature luxurious bath products designed exclusively for Villa Buena Onda by the local artisans, Raw Botanicals. The beds are fitted with fresh, fine linens and the spacious rooms indulge in full closets. Each room is equipped with surround sound and flat-screen Television for your entertainment.

The Master Suite is located on the second floor and is the largest suite, covering 450sq ft., and offers captivating ocean views. The rooms are built with high vaulted ceilings that open the space and flood it with natural sunlight. The French doors give you access out onto the private balcony. The ocean suites are also located on the second floor and offer panoramic views of the properties of tropical gardens and glistening blue waters of Papagayo Bay. The rooms feature large glass sliding doors that open up to large private balconies. Two pool suites are located on the first floor. Both bedrooms have partial ocean views through giant sliding glass doors, opening onto the terrace. One of these rooms is wheelchair accessible. The luxurious Garden Room is fitted with two large and comfortable Queen-sized beds. This room can accommodate up to four of your guests. Located on the first floor, the bedroom looks out over the surrounding tropical landscape and the property's manicured gardens. These rooms span across a total of 28 sq m / 302 sq ft.

HOUSE RULES:
• To ensure the comfort, safety, and security of our guests and our staff, all guests should familiarize themselves with the house rules at the beginning of their stay at the Villa.
• Check-in time is 3pm. Check-out time is 11am. Early check-in and late check-out are available to guests for an additional fee.
• All staying guests at the Villa must be registered. Guests who host overnight visitors will be charged the nightly rate per visitor.
• Guests are welcome to entertain visitors at the Villa; however, additional meals and beverages provided to visitors are subject to an additional fee.
• Guests will be responsible for any loss or damage to the hotel property caused by themselves, their guests, or anyone they are responsible for.
• Fireworks, explosives, weapons, incendiary devices, flammable materials, or other dangerous chemicals are prohibited on the property.
• Per local laws, illicit or illegal drugs, controlled substances, or drug paraphernalia are prohibited on the property.
• Selling or serving alcohol to minors under the age of 18 is prohibited.
• Guests are strongly encouraged to keep all windows, doors, and sliding glass doors closed at night, both in their rooms and downstairs, to avoid animals entering the villa.
• Please refrain from rearranging the furniture or moving inside furniture to the outside.
• Please do not approach or feed the wildlife on the property.
• As a courtesy to our neighboring properties, loud music is prohibited after 10pm.
• To avoid any nightly raids from the wildlife on the property, all food, fruit, snacks, and open beverages should be brought inside the villa and removed from the pool and bar area at the end of the evening.
• Pool towels are available for guests and located on the patio. Please do not remove items from your bedroom, including towels, pillows, or blankets.
• Please do not apply spray tan or sunscreen products inside the Villa.
• For your convenience, all rooms are equipped with a safe located in the wardrobe. The Villa bears no responsibility for any damage or loss of personal belongings that are not kept in the safe. In case of any loss, please inform our Concierge. We recommend you double-check the safe in your room upon your departure.
• The speed limit on the property is 20km/h.

Smoking:
• Smoking is prohibited in the Villa or anywhere on the property, including bedrooms, balconies, pool and bar areas, and the common areas. Guests may smoke on the street outside of the Villa. To avoid the risk of fire and help maintain the Villa's appearance, please do not dispose of cigarettes on the property.
• Guests who smoke in or on the property may be subject to a $250 fine.

AC Usage:
• All bedrooms have a high-efficiency air conditioning unit that typically provides a comfortable temperature within 8-10 minutes. To help conserve energy, we encourage our guests to refrain from keeping their bedroom and sliding glass doors open when not in use and to turn off their AC when not occupying their room.
• To avoid the risk of damaging the AC unit, please do not set thermostats below 20°C / 68°F.

Pool Rules:
• No glass, including bottles, is permitted in the pool and bar areas. Please use the plasticware provided.
• Guests are encouraged to shower before entering the pool. A sun shower and a private shower in the patio restroom are available.
• Pool towels are available for guests and located on the bench by the main entrance. Please do not remove items from your bedroom, including towels, pillows, or blankets.
• Patio furniture is not permitted in the pool. Guests who place patio furniture in the pool are subject to a fine.
• All children under 18 should be monitored by an adult when using the pool.
• Swim diapers are required for all infants and toddlers using the pool.
• To avoid the risk of injury, guests are encouraged to towel themselves off before entering the Villa and the kitchen area.
• Please avoid wet bathing suits while sitting on the furniture inside the Villa.

Security Cameras:
For the safety and security of our staff and guests, security cameras are located throughout the property and in common areas of the Villa. Guests cannot tamper, alter, disconnect or obstruct security cameras.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:: Rates shown in the rate chart are for Villa Rental only. Villa Buena Onda is 100% inclusive of food and beverage (including alcohol and three meals a day with 2 menu options), so depending on the number of adults and children in your group the following rates will apply to each person/child, per day, and must be added to the total of the rental:
• All-inclusive Add-On Adult, 12+ years old = $150 + 13% VAT + 10% Service Charge per person per day
• All-inclusive Add-On Child, 4 to 12 years old = $85 + 13% VAT + 10% Service Charge per person per day
No cost for infants under 4 years of age.
