Welcome to Borgo Bernardini, a luxury 12-bedroom property located near Lucca, Italy.
Nestled among verdant hills inhabited by wild boar, Borgo Bernardini began as a hunting retreat for Count Cosimo Bernardini of Lucca, who would spend his weekends immersed in nature. The Bernardini family played a significant role in Lucca's governance, managing law and order from 1388 to 1798 and later adapting to the changes brought by Napoleon's arrival in the late 18th century. During this era, Borgo expanded into a small village to house estate workers, with new additions such as an olive press, bakery, and chapel. Today, the estate has transformed into a luxurious Tuscan retreat, set within a picturesque hamlet framed by vast parklands adorned with fountains, ancient trees, charming squares, and historic paths. The villa now features a private swimming pool (18m x 8m x 1.8m), with comfortable sun loungers for a relaxing escape in the serene Tuscan countryside.
Adjacent to the pool, guests will find a fitness room with garden access and a cozy lounge area with wicker furniture and expansive glass windows overlooking the pool—a perfect spot for reading, enjoying a massage, or indulging in a beauty treatment. The estate also boasts a BBQ and a spacious alfresco dining area with seating for up to 26, located in an antique courtyard that includes a stunning "Peschiera" fishpond. Both the outdoor and indoor spaces exude charm and elegance. A dedicated team can personalize guests' experiences with tailored recommendations and arrangements, such as cooking classes, wine or olive oil tastings, and even ice cream making for groups of six or more. Additional services include transportation, guided tours, and special event planning (at extra cost).
The villa has recently undergone meticulous restoration, blending modern comforts with its historic character, including exposed beams, terracotta floors, ornate fireplaces, and large windows with sweeping hills and olive grove views. Many of the antique furnishings have been preserved, carrying the legacy of the Bernardini family. This luxurious villa features 12 bedrooms, each with a private bath, and can accommodate up to 24 guests. For larger groups, two additional guests can be accommodated with extra bedding at an additional charge. The rental includes the services of a personal chef (groceries charged separately) and maid service six days per week.

The ground floor offers a grand dining room for 24, a spacious living room with a fireplace, satellite TV, DVD player, a fully equipped traditional Tuscan kitchen, laundry room, four guest bathrooms, and a workout room with cardio fitness equipment. From the kitchen, guests can access the "Peschiera" courtyard, alfresco dining area, and a charming patio with tables, ideal for morning breakfasts. The villa also includes an elegant music room with a piano and guitar, perfect for relaxing with a drink and classical music; a billiard room for friendly games; and a wine-tasting room. This retreat is ideal for families or groups seeking both relaxation and entertainment.
The villa is outfitted with modern conveniences and includes air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and a centralized sound system that extends to outdoor spaces. Guests can access a complimentary laundry room with a washing machine, dryer, iron, and ironing board. Additional dry cleaning and ironing services are available on request, at an extra charge.
