Eagles Palace

Eagles Palace Greece

In Greece, food is considered one of the greatest pleasures and at Eagles Palace Resort in Halkidiki their chefs will transform every plate into a work of gastronomic art.

From the moment we arrived at Eagles Palace Resort in Greece we were exposed to some of the finest culinary art imaginable. The flavour, detail and presentation was exceptional.  The food and level of service at Eagles Palace was some of the best we have ever experienced. Throughout our 3 days stay at Eagles Palace we enjoyed some of the most delicious meals we have ever in our lives tasted. Each dish was hand-picked by the head chef in each restaurant and was beautifully presented.

During our stay we were wined and dined throughout the entire weekend. We experienced some of the best Greek and international food we have every tasted. The Resort Features 6 exquisite restaurants offering a variety of cuisine. From international cuisine to Italian delicacies and from romantic terrace dinners to beach bars and restaurants, the magical cuisine of Eagles Palace promises you supreme gastronomy moments.

Many of our meals were prepared exclusively for our group so that we could experience all the restaurants and various dishes and flavours. Each of the fine dining restaurants were included on our itinerary and we could not wait to try them all. Many of our meals were ‘tasting menus’ allowing us to try the wide variety of food prepared by each chef.

I can honestly say we were treated like royalty and had some of the best food in Europe.

After arriving at Eagles Palace Resort, we were escorted to the Eagles Café Restaurant where we enjoyed some freshly made homemade bread and olive tapenade. The first course was a delicious and authentic Greek salad with feta cheese, cucumber, olives and onions. The flavour was superb and you simply cannot create this dish and have it taste this good at home. For main course we had the famous Greek speciality; Moussaka. This was by far the best Moussaka I have ever tasted.  The dessert was a selection of miniature desserts including Baklavas with homemade ice cream.

Fine Dining at Eagle’s Palace Resort in Halkidiki

Vinum

Our first night at Eagles Palace we enjoyed an incredible meal at Vinum. Vinum is located overlooking the pool and is set against the backdrop of the lovely garden with palm trees. It a nice romantic outdoor restaurant with an open kitchen. Here we enjoyed a wide variety of dishes from local pizza to gourmet Sea Bass and Salmon accompanied by some fantastic Greek wine.

Lofos

The following morning, we dined in Lofos Restaurant for Breakfast. This is one of the nicest restaurants at Eagles Palace and is next to the villas making it ideal for those looking to be close to their accommodation. The décor of the restaurant was designed by the owners and their friend who was an interior designer. Many of the artwork and pieces of décor came all the way from Asia. You can really tell that the owners take great pride in their property. The staff were excellent and we really felt special in each restaurant we dined in.

Lofos Restaurant offers an excellent selection of fresh fruit, juices, cheeses, homemade breads and pastries each morning. There was also a great variety of hot dishes including French toast, pancakes, porridge and eggs benedict to name a few… The omelettes were also delicious.

That night we also dined in Lofos. The restaurant was transformed from a buffet style to a gourmet fine dining restaurant offering tasting menus or also an á la carte menu each night. For those looking for gourmet cuisine this was the place to be. The dishes presented to us included an incredible Chefs Welcome plate with salmon, goats cheese macaroon and figs. The figs were to die for..

Other dishes at Lofos included salmon with sesame seeds served with cous cous and a superb lamb dish.

Armyra

Every meal we enjoyed at Eagles Palace resort was second to none. Our favourite lunchtime restaurant was Armyra Restaurant which was one of the best fish restaurants in the resort and was in an idyllic setting next to the beach and overlooking the azure ocean beyond.

We enjoyed a variety of food each day here.  Our lunches included an assortment of local dishes from Greek Salads and Calamari to Roasted Aubergine (Egg Plant) and Whole Fish including Dorado.

Melathron

The one restaurant we didn’t get the chance to dine in was Melathron which is the buffet style restaurant suitable for families and children and for those looking for a world-wide variety of dishes. The restaurant is relaxed and laid back featuring specialties from Mount Athos and Halkidiki. Here you will find an excellent mix of international and local cuisine. Each year a series of evening themes, is created by the Executive chef featuring specialties from different corners of the world.

Wine Tasting

On our last night at Eagles Palace Resort we enjoyed an excellent wine tasting hosted by the General Manager Christos and the owners of the resort. We were blown away by the knowledge of our connoisseur as we tasted wines from Greece, Italy and Spain. Of course, the wine tasting would not be complete without a selection of cheese and breadsticks to encourage our palate to taste more wine.

Kamares

This was followed by a 7-course tasting menu at Kamares Restaurant at Eagles Resort. The Restaurant is a fine dining option located in the heart of the property. Here we were greeted on arrival by the head waiter and were seated outside under the stars where we enjoyed the gentle sea breeze and one of the best meals of all time. I have included a sample menu from Kamares Restaurant below which I hope will tantalize your taste buds!
