St Barts Villas

St Barts Villa Rentals

St Barts is one of the world's most sophisticated and stylish islands. Having visited the destination many times, our team are constantly inspecting new villas for our clients.

It is a tiny perfect tropical paradise with 14 exquisite beaches, world-class shopping, over 80 excellent restaurants, exquisite beauty, and fantastic year-round weather. Based on our experience, we recommend taking advantage of our complimentary concierge service to book you into the most exclusive restaurants and beaches.

It is a highly luxurious destination with over 400 of our Luxury St Barts Villas from which to choose and several great 5-star hotels. Our professional team knows these villas inside & out. It is also full of designer shops, and at any one time, you can see up to 90 super-yachts moored in the Bay of the Capital, Gustavia.

It is little wonder that the island is so popular among the rich and famous. Our Villas in St Barts are, without a doubt, some of the best in the world. These attributes, combined with the stunning views, myriad of things to do, and pure turquoise waters, make this a destination of dreams. Our knowledgeable villa specialists are truly in love St .Barths.

Guide to St Barths

We are delighted to present our most extensive collection of personally inspected and vetted Luxury St Barts Villas.

Each of them has been selected based on our exceptional criteria, which is why we spend a lot of time on the island to ensure all our properties are of the highest standard possible. Our team has intimate local knowledge and will be able to match you with your dream villa.

Of course, many of our properties have fantastic beachfront locations. However, our discerning repeat clients also like to book one of the many hillside villas in St Barts. Most of these properties have jaw-dropping views of the surrounding islands and ocean. They also allow guests the flexibility of enjoying one of the 14 stunning tropical beaches. Contact our passionate concierge team to find the ideal beach for you.

Every property you book comes with daily housekeeping as standard. Still, if you want to be pampered on vacation and have the ultimate luxury, we are pleased to organize chefs, butlers, and housekeepers before your arrival.

It is hard to beat the sunset in St Barts; some of the sunset views on the island overlook Shell Beach, the west of Gustavia and Corossol. Our favorites St Barts Villas include Villa Vitti, Fleur de Cactus, and Axel Rocks.

What is the best area of St Barts?

Our knowledgeable team at Exceptional Villas can offer vacation rentals in every area of the island; they all offer different views or different landscapes of the island, and they are all beautiful. Trust in our villa experts to ensure you find the dream location for you villa vacation.

If you want to be close to restaurants and shops, we recommend staying around St Jean or Gustavia but remember the island is very small, and you will get anywhere in a maximum of 20 minutes drive. Other places like Gouverneur, Cul-de-sac, and Colombier are quieter and offer more privacy.

Finally, we recommend Toiny on the Atlantic side of St Barth for clients who love wild beauty and total tranquility.

Our first-time clients to the island often request to book a beachfront villa, but most returning guests will ask for a villa on one of the hillsides. This choice is because the views from almost all the higher-up villas are exquisite, and guests like to explore all 14 stunning beaches and not be limited to just one while on vacation.

Because the island is so tiny and easy to get around, we recommend you pick your favorite Villa rather than the area. The only exception is if you want to be in the middle of the action, in which case we recommend you stay in the Capitial Gustavia. Our savvy concierge team will be able to make recommendations, based on exactly what your group is looking for,

Planning Tips

How big is St Barts?

Considering how many fantastic beaches, restaurants, and shops there are, the island is relatively tiny. Our villa specialists have travelled around this island many times.

The island has a total size of just  25 square kilometers (9.7 sq mi). It is just 2.5 square kilometers wide (4 mi) and 17.5 km or (11 mi) from tip to toe. So it only takes about 1 hour to drive around the island.

Where is St Barts located?

Located in the heart of the Caribbean, it is officially an overseas territory of France. Its closest neighbors are St Martin, just 22miles away, and Anguilla, which is 26 miles away. The other islands nearby include St Kitts, Nevis, Saba, and St Eustatius.

Do I need a car in St Barts?

We highly recommend you arrange a car rental with our complimentary concierge team. Many of the villas are up steep roads, and one of the joys of the island is spending time exploring all the fantastic beaches, hidden coves, and many restaurants.

Should you prefer not to drive, there are taxis available, but they are expensive compared to the distance traveled. Our concierge would be delighted to book a car rental for you.

When is the best time to travel to St Barts?

We have over 30 years experience in the villa rental business and have explored the island during all seasons. The island is lucky to experience fabulous weather almost year-round. The climate is tropical, and the temperatures do not vary much throughout the year, with minimum temperatures starting at 23 degrees Celsius (73 °F) in the winter and maximum temperatures around 32 °C (90 °F) in the summer.

However, the winter months between November and April are slightly cooler and less humid than the summer. For this reason, it is the more popular high season on the island.

The low season is between May and August and can be hotter and more humid, especially in the later summer. You will likely experience more rainfall during these months. However, it rarely rains for long, and the sun is almost always close.

The only time we don't recommend travel to St Barts is from late August to the beginning of September as this is the hurricane season.

What language do people speak in St Barts?

French is the primary language. Most of the staff working on the island are French natives; however, everyone speaks English.

What currencies do they use in St Barts?

Euro is the main currency. However, all the Villa Rental prices are in US dollars.

All the shops and restaurants on the island will also accept US dollars but paying in Euro offers better value, so we recommend you exchange your currency before arrival or in one of the island's banks.

What plugs do they use in St Barts?

The island has the same voltage and plug type as mainland Europe. It is 220 volts and has a round 2-pin plug. Some villas will also have American sockets, but if you travel from the US, it is best to bring adaptors.

What is the tipping policy in St Barts?

There is no gratuity policy as most bills include service.

However, like everyone in the world, the staff greatly appreciate a tip if you are satisfied with the service.

Which are the best restaurants in St Barts?

The island has over 80 restaurants, many of which are among the world's best. But some of our favorite restaurants include Bagatelle, Bonito, L'Isola and Le Tamarin.

If you want to know more, read our blog on The Best Restaurants in St Barts.

Is St Barts Safe?

It is one of the safest vacation locations in the world, with virtually no crime at all.

When you are on vacation, you will enjoy that it is one of the only places in the world where you can still leave your car open and your bag inside, and it will be there when you return!

What is there to do in St Barts?

The island of Saint Barthelemy is genuinely unique. It has all the incredible beauty of the Caribbean combined with a wonderfully authentic French flavor and an extraordinary level of sophistication not seen on any other island.

Considering its's size, there is a lot to do and see, and you will never be bored.

Let's delve deeper into some of the Top Activities in St Barts!

St Barts Beaches

St Barts' tropical beaches are among the best in the world. There are 14 exquisite and unique beaches from which to choose. Each is unique, and many are lovely for swimming with soft white sands and calm turquoise waters.

One of the best things to do is to spend a day on each of them and enjoy a completely different experience.

Our concierge team will be delighted to organize a picnic for you to enjoy. Alternatively, many beaches have fabulous restaurants like Shellona on Shell Beach, Tom Beach on St-Jean, La Case on Flamands Beach, and The Beach Club at Hotel Le Toiny.

Shopping in St Barts

The destination is hands down the best Caribbean island for fashion shopping. There are two main areas on the island.  Gustavia is full of designer boutiques and famous brand names such as Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Ralph Lauren, and Cartier.

In addition, there is also an excellent selection of local designers selling chic island fashions, such as Vanita Rosa, Calypso St Barth, Poupette St Barth, and Lolita Jaca.

The other area full of gorgeous boutiques is St-Jean, close to the airport and The Eden Rock Hotel.  In addition, all the hotels have fabulous boutiques, and many of the island's restaurants host fashion shows from their in-house boutiques.

The fashion scene is, without a doubt, among the best in the Caribbean.

Beautiful Scenery

But the island also has a romantic, down-to-earth side. There are some astonishing dramatic and beautiful landscapes to explore, ranging from rocky peaks to picturesque coves, small hidden harbors, stunning white sandy beaches, and crystal clear warm turquoise waters.

Hiking

The island has some great hiking, and one of our favorite hikes is from Flamands Beach to Colombier Beach. The only way to get to this stunning beach is by foot or boat, and the beach is generally tranquil even in the high season.

If you want to visit quieter and secluded beaches, you can also explore the calm waters of Petit Cul De Sac Beach. There is also some excellent hiking above Toiny Beach. From here, you will experience breathtaking views of the rugged Atlantic coast of the island.

One of the island's most popular hikes is along Anse de Grand Fond. The path leaves from the southern end of Toiny Beach and ends at a stunning spot locally nicknamed the washing machine.

Watersports

Towards the north, you will find the lovely town of St Jean, home to one of the island's most beautiful and well-known beaches. St-Jean is also where you will find many of the island's watersports. In addition, there is excellent Kite surfing off the beach at Grand Cul de Sac for the adventurous.

If you love to surf, then the beach at Toiny is the perfect place to catch some great waves.

There are many things to do that have easy access when visiting this beautiful island. There is excellent Deep-Sea Fishing, Hiking, Scuba Diving, and a wide variety of water sports in the bay or along the beaches.
