Welcome to Chalet Alex, a luxury 6 bedroom Ski Apartment located in Zermatt. The chalet is one of the nicest chalets in Zermatt and is nestled in the exclusive enclave of Winklematten. Chalet Alex is in an ideal ski in/ski out location and is also just a 10 minute walk to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. The centre of Zermatt can be reached by walking 10-15 minute or for extra convenience you can take an electric taxi which takes 4 minutes to bring you to the heart of Zermatt.

The top two floors of Chalet Shalimar make up the spacious luxury apartment Alex. Sleeping 12 people in six spacious twin/double bedrooms, this apartment is perfect for large groups of friends or families. You enter the apartment on the first floor which is the main sleeping floor. On this floor there are six twin/double bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms and balconies. The two master bedrooms have uninterrupted views of the Matterhorn. The luxury ski in/ski out apartment is made up of two apartments which can be taken seperately, or internal doors combine the two apartments seamlessly.

A lift takes you up to the living area and dining areas which are wonderfully spacious and bright. This luxury apartment feels more like a free standing chalet than an apartment as it has double height ceilings and large sliding doors which open out from the living areas onto the large balconies. The views of the imposing Matterhorn are spectacular and provide the perfect backdrop for a pre-dinner glass of champagne. The main living areas have sumptuous sofas which surround the large stone fireplaces. After a hard day on the slopes guests can enjoy afternoon tea in peace and quiet whilst the children are kept entertained in the apartment’s entertainment rooms complete with AppleT.V.

On the lower ground floor of Chalet Shalimar is the shared spa area. There is a fabulous indoor pool, sauna, hammam and massage room which is shared with the four bedroom apartment, Elena which is situated on the ground floor.

STAFF
If guests choose to take the chalet on a fully catered basis, the apartment is staffed with a professional chef and host as well as a dedicated concierge. When taken on a self-catered basis there is a daily housekeeping service as well as a concierge who will be on hand to assist with any finer details throughout the week.
