Welcome to Tranquillity on the Beach, a luxury 7 bedroom beachfront villa located on Jamaica’s stunning north coast of Montego Bay.

Villa Tranquility is totally true to its name with its restful ambience on a stunning 6,300-square-foot beachfront home on a spectacular Caribbean seascape and an acre of soft, immaculately landscaped lawns. Artful landscaping ensures year-round flowers in bloom which in turn ensure regular visits from hummingbirds and parrots. The grounds resemble your very own private paradise dotted with mango, guava, banana, plantain, lime, soursop, apple and papaya trees. An old cut stone walkway leads through the beautifully lush garden to the beach, just a stone throw away from the villa.

Tranquillity is the ideal spot for entertaining family and friends, especially on its wide sweeping waterfront that leads into shallow water for many yards out, a magical watery world for kids and adults alike. 100 yards offshore is Holden's Reef, a continuation of the barrier reef complex that fronts much of Jamaica's north coast. This live reef is home to a myriad of colourful tropical fish and corals. Easily reachable by kayak, at low tide, portions of the reef protrude above the water so you can step from your kayak to snorkel in shallow water. On the Caribbean side, deeper waters beckon the more adventurous or scuba equipped.

The villa entrance whisks you away into paradise as you pass an indoor waterfall garden as you approach the spacious Great Room which opens to a beautifully furnished veranda. The butler serves memorable meals on the veranda overlooking two acres of elegantly landscaped grounds and the bluer than the blue sea, or you may choose the inside formal dining room or even more magical is the romantic beachfront gazebo by candlelight. Some nights, you may spot a few local fishermen as they ease through the water beyond the gazebo laying nets for the fresh catch that they deliver to your chef the next morning. The complete Caribbean ambience is quite beautiful.



The chic Master Suite is at the east end of the veranda with french doors that open from the large bedroom to the wide covered porch where eye-opener coffee is placed each morning. The second Master Bedroom was added to increase Villa Tranquility to 6 bedrooms with its louvred mahogany doors that open to the superb view over the lawn and gardens to the sea. Two smaller bedrooms are beyond the living room on the west end of the villa. The fifth bedroom and a smaller sixth bedroom most suitable for children are in the Beach Cottage across the lawn on the water’s edge.

Tranquillity shares a basketball hoop and private tennis court with neighbouring Serenity on the Beach (bring racquets and balls). Combining Serenity and Tranquility creates a 10-bedroom compound with 2 pools, tennis court, long beachfront and staff of 10. Each villa is extremely child-friendly and very private from each other.

STAFF

While staying in Villa Tranquility you will be personally looked after by our wonderful team of staff. The staff includes a chef, butler, housekeeper, laundress and gardener who will cater for your every need. The delicious meals you will be served here deserve special attention. Our wonderful Chef Danny has extensive experience in a number of cuisines including Italian, Spanish and Jamaican. He received his formal training in Italy and has been Head Chef at several of Montego Bay's better restaurants. Danny's experience and creativity, as well as his willingness to create menus to suit special requests, make the culinary part of everyone’s stay at Tranquility something to savour. If you’ve left your pets behind, be advised that Tranquility is home to our friendly dogs. They are not permitted in the house or on the veranda. They spend days in the yard and on the beach, and the staff cares for them. If you enjoy them, they’ll run with you on the beach and romp with you in the sea. They are gentle, well-behaved and love guests.

Accommodations

Master Bedroom 1
Kingsize 4-poster bed. Flat-screen cable television. 4 pairs of mahogany French doors to the veranda. Modern en-suite bathroom features handsome grey and tan tile open shower with twin rain forest shower jets. Just steps from the pool.

Master Bedroom 2
Kingsize bed in a high-ceilinged 400-square-foot suite with flat-screen cable television. En-suite bathroom has bathtub plus a separate walk-in shower. French doors open to the private furnished veranda. 3 steps down and a path to pool, gazebo and beach.

Bedroom 3
Optional kingsize or twin beds. En-suite bathroom with double vanity, walk-in shower and wonderful second very private shower in the outdoor walled garden. French doors open from the bedroom to the veranda.

Bedroom 4
Kingsize bed; en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. French doors to private patio, grounds and tennis court.

Beach Cottage
Bedrooms 5 & 6
Designed as the owners’ private quarters, this is an exquisite 2-story cottage next to the sea. Downstairs are the living room, kitchen with microwave, VCR and cable television, sound system, small extra bedroom with queen size bed, hall bathroom and walk-in shower. The lower level opens to a private terrace on the edge of the beach where meals are served if only the Beach Cottage is occupied. (If more than two guests are in residence, all meals are served on the main house veranda, although eye-opener coffee and fruit may be served at the Beach Cottage.) Upstairs are the kingsize bedroom, over-the-beach balcony with lounges for sunning or star-gazing, and large en-suite marble bath with oversize walk-in shower.

Bedroom 7
A new bedroom with bunk beds has been added to the Beach Cottage. The new bedroom is upstairs next to the Master Bedroom, shares a bathroom and provides another convenient parent-child suite.

Tryall Membership

Tranquillity on the Beach has membership to the Tryall Club. A Temporary Membership Fee of US$26 per person per day plus a 15% service charge for any guest 16 years and older will be required. Payment will be made at the Front Desk in the Great House upon arrival.

After paying the Temporary Membership Fee, members may use most Club facilities at no charge with the exception of the tennis shop, ball boys, bar & restaurant, spa, grocery, motorized water sports, nanny services, and golf. Complimentary amenities include the beach, non-motorized water sports, tennis, the excellent gym, the Hummingbird Kids Club, Great House afternoon tea, the Manager's Cocktail Party, and various special events.
