Getting To The Grenadines

Mustique is also surprisingly easy to get too. It is just a very short 40 minute hop from either Barbados or St Lucia. And when you actually get to Mustique, you will be in your Villa within 10 or 15 minutes of landing. Probably around the same time as most of the people visiting the other Caribbean islands collect their luggage, get through a busy immigration and take a car to their accommodations.

Mustique Connections

There are scheduled charters to Mustique twice daily from Barbados in the winter and summer seasons and once daily in the off season. There are also scheduled flights from St. Lucia in high season. Additional shared or private charters are available on request.

Getting to Mayreau

Mayreau is located 100 miles west of Barbados and 27 miles south of St. Lucia. The Grenadine islands extend southward from the main island of St. Vincent. Mayreau is in close proximity to airports on Union (2miles) and Canouan (4 miles). Union Island and Canouan Island are collectively serviced by Liat, SVG Air and Mustique Airways. Canouan Island is capable of accommodating jets as large as 737s. Regardless of which airport is used, one of several luxury Tribu boats will meet you and whisk you over to Mayreau in complete comfort.

Getting to Canouan

Canouan is reached by air from North America and Europe through six major gateways – Barbados (55 minutes) , San Juan-P.R., Grenada (20 minutes), St. Vincent (15 minutes), Martinique Fort de France (60 minutes) and St. Lucia - with connection to Canouan’s modern Airport, offering night landing facilities.

The most frequent flights to Canouan Island are from Barbados on Grenadine Airways or Liat. Grenadine Airways fly once or twice daily to Canouan Island. Liat flies a couple of times a week to Canouan Island and continues to Grenada. For further details please refer to the following websites.

Canouan also has its own private Cessna Citation jet which offers flexible departure times should international flights be delayed! The air transfer to Canouan is only 30 minutes on the Jet from Barbados

Note: You should not confirm your international flights until the connection is confirmed by SVG Air, Grenadines Airways or the Islands Cessna Citation jet.

Getting to Petit St Vincent

By Air

Same day arrival is possible from most points in the Americas and Europe through the international airport in Barbados (BGI) to Union Island with Mustique Airways.

Mustique Airways

Mustique Airways, which is the oldest airline operating in the Grenadines, service the Barbados‐Union‐Barbados run daily as needed with twin engine aircraft (6 passenger Norman Islanders and 4 passenger Rockwell Aero Commanders). These planes will ensure that your flight experience will be private, because only your group or other PSV guests will travel with you. More importantly, this flight will wait for your late‐arriving aircraft provided that the aircraft was originally scheduled so as to normally arrive in time to connect to Union Island. Finally, if takeoff is delayed until after Union Island airport closes at sunset, the flight can alternatively land at lighted Canouan airport, still just a 45‐minute boat ride away from our island.

Once you arrive at Union Island, a private launch will meet you at the dock for the 20-minute boat ride to Petit St. Vincent.

Other Air Travel Options

Several other options are available for the last leg of air travel:

Should you prefer so, you can continue to use a regularly scheduled airline by purchasing a ticket via your travel agents or the Internet.

A private air charter can be arranged by our office for guests wishing to make connections via Barbados, Grenada or St Lucia.

Canouan Island airport (CIW) can accommodate most private jets. Make sure to coordinate with our reservations office and we will arrange for your 45-minute private boat transfer from Canouan to Petit St. Vincent.

Please note that international arrivals into Barbados that land late may not make the last regularly scheduled commercial connection to Union Island. The small airport at Union Island is not equipped for night-time landing. If you do not use the Mustique Airways charter flights or otherwise miss the last flight or daylight, we can help make arrangements for overnight stays in Barbados with preferred properties.
